I once found an old handwritten album, used for 80 years (1831 to 1909) and it chronicled a true, love /adventure story of a pioneer family where two youngsters in love head to the territories, much to the fear of friends and family at home. They were never seen again at home, but, this young family, through tough times, survived, and eventually end up in California during the Gold Rush. Like you, I was able to return this story, completely lost and unknown, to the descendants. It was truly a satisfying moment for me.

There is a way to test if eggs are still good. Google it. It involves putting them in a bowl of water. If they sink, they are bad. If they float they are good. The yolks stay in tact in good eggs. Fall apart and become slimy if bad.
