@loyalbeaver9402

@@ArshiyaKapil Yes that's exactly what they were supposed to do - they were NOT in any immediate danger when the dad suddenly opened fire: he didn't open fire the moment the door became undone and the guy was about to push it open and enter the house. The door, despite some damage, remained securely locked when the dad opened fire. All what the unarmed guy outside had been doing was shaking the door - he was not breaking through. The dad should point his gun at the door and kept monitoring the situaiton while waiting for the cops (who were already on their way and were only minutes away.) If the lock, or the door frame, gave in and the guy outside was about to barge in, the dad would be justified to open fire. But this never happened. The door was still holding up quite well at the moment the dad suddenly started shooting. Neither he nor his families were in immediate danger at that moment as the guy was still outside their house, separated from them by the door that was still effective in maintaining that separation. If the dad kept holding his ground without suddenly sccumbing to the unjustified urge to resort to violence, the police would have arrived soon and took the unarmed guy to custody, who most likely had some mental health issues. Nobody would have died and his house would not be tainted with the record of being a homocide scene. Now he has his 15 minutes of fame as a "hero". Hope his conscience makes peace with the fact that he shot dead unnecessarily an unarmed civilian at his porch minutes before the arrival of the police to "protect" his daugher who was never in any real danger.

The relationship was over YEARS ago. He recently started calling the young lady out of the blue. If you hear the creepy voice messages, you knew something was wrong. She never returned his calls and was surprised to see him as he followed her home. Fortunately she got inside before he could get to her. MSNBC needs to tell these details. It wasn't a recent break up. Not that it should matter. But, that information adds context to the bizarre behavior and danger that this family was facing. Thank God they had cameras. These news outlets need to do better when reporting. Primary sources, please!

I understand his sister is trying to cope with her brother's death, but to say he was "looking out for Allison" is absolutely ridiculous. After years of no contact, he shows up out of the blue and attempts to forcefully enter into his ex-gf's house. He was politely asked to leave. He did not leave. Did she even acknowledge his poor mental state? Did she ever try to get her brother the help he needed before it got this far? Does she not hold him accountable for his actions? His ex was under no obligation to re-establish communication just because he still hasn't gotten over a breakup that happened years ago.

Edit: I read up on more details, they broke up in 2019, he moved away to california, then in 2022 before this happened he just left her a concerning voicemail and not too long after just showed up trying to break in. Before finding out these details I thought he at least was recently in a relationship with her and it went bad, so yeah when this guy just shows up again out of nowhere trying to break in, he must have known what would happen. @Let the flames takeover It's an interesting point. In some cultures it might work. But in USA he is in his home and the young man is trying to break the door down after being explained the situation and told to leave. And to follow your logic if he goes out he puts his own life and that of his family in danger. Obviously, the young man is deranged. Maybe you watch too many tv shows where stuff like that works and is all tidy by a nice walk and talk or you live in a more civil society where there is gun control. Plus, there is probably history here and they know about him and were in serious fear of their lives. That's what keeps people from breaking into homes in USA fear of getting shot. And even then not always. If they are coming thru there is a chance they are armed and dangerous. Point of No Return happens. It's crazy, I know. But we don't live in a civil society.

IDK, but this could have been me dead, my ex fiance left me a year ago and got knocked up a few days after leaving me, I still contemplate going up to her house and demanding closure, literally a talk! being ghosted by a person u invested nearly 4 yrs into is not easy, I wasn't in a good place either, still not mentally all straight, but women are cruel, they will just expect you to get over it and will coldly move on leaving you there to pick up the pieces, the family labeled me a stalker, truth is some people just want closure, but we have no sensitivity to this especially to men's pain, we always assume they are there to hurt, I just want reconciliation!

I can understand his Sister's grief, and shock, but your brother made a very bad decision, and it cost him his life.. My Cousin did something like that pretending he had a gun to hold up a Liquor store.. The owner shot him in the head, and my Cousin died days later in the Hospital... Naturally, my heart was broken to lose someone I loved very much, but I can't fault the man who shot him.. It's all bloody tragic and horrible...😥

I knew someone who would tell people for years after the fact that his brother was "murdered" and the police just "let the killers go". If, on the other hand, you pressed for more details he would finally admit that his brother was a career criminal who had been in and out of prison and one night was breaking through a bedroom window thinking the homeowners were away...the terrified elderly couple grabbed a gun out of their nightstand and shot at the figure in the dark who was coming through the window...BTW, he WAS armed with a gun and a knife. But those silly details did not matter...his brother was "murdered" and the killers never faced justice for no clear reason.

Clearly that 21 year old was in the wrong . Once he started breaking in is where he went wrong . This is a classic case of someone trying to be obsessive and controlling. The homeowner is 100% in the right . You can hear his daughter in the background clearly upset her ex boyfriend is trying to get in . His actions is a clear sign that’s why they broke up .

Sister‘s loss is surely devastating, but since the entirety incident was captured on camera and audio, that guy was clearly violent and up to no good, there’s not much left to investigate. Didn‘t even change demeanor, after being yelled and advised to leave with gun threat, really creepy.

@@EnvoiGG And if the dad wasn't armed imagine what would have happened? The daughter and her parents were telling him to get off their porch and he continued to try and break in. If the police got there when the daughter was on the phone with them was the only other thing that could have stopped him from getting into the house. They had broken up for a while before it happened I read somewhere that it was a year and a half later after they were broken up before it happened. His sister is nuts for saying he was just trying to look out for his X a year and a half after they broke up and has to know that is creepy and she wants them to be held accountable for defending their daughter and their home

Sis, wake up... He was there to cause harm!!! Look into your brother's eyes as he was at the door. Those deep dark hollow eyes were not the eyes of a caring young man. Hopefully one day you will realize what really happened. I think it is natural to stand up for your brother but this is clearly an open and shut case. And hopefully you and your dad won't have to deal with an ex-boyfriend of yours this same way. And if you do, I hope you dad protects you as this dad protected his daughter!!!

Narcissists usually have “enablers” within their inner circle, hence why they get as bad as they do. Any normal person would understand the first time you tell them NO to just drop it and stop bothering…but that doesn’t exactly work the same way for a narcissist does it? It doesn’t matter if it is 1 time or even 65 times, they will do “whatever they want to do” because the rules don’t apply to them. Oh but don’t worry, they have no issues setting rules for everyone else (especially if it means to tailor another person’s behavior to get whatever they want).

Uggh, ppl can be sooo delusional and not fully realizing just how awful their family can be. If the sister can't or won't make the connection between Alison's tears and James' insistence on entering her parents' home to where he's breaking the door, she either truly has zero clue about her brother's depravity, or she's just as toxic, making Alison feel miserable. My money is on the latter.
