That said, allowing teachers to bring firearms onto schoolgrounds only takes away the obstacles of a disturbed student illegally Aguire a Firearm and then to Smuggle it onto school grounds. All it takes is One Student to learn which teacher has a Gun for that info to spread like Wildfire. No Cool-Down Time for overstressed student, simply a Surprise Attack on that Teacher. Never went to college and have no clue what things occur on college campuses that can’t be done remotely, huh? Aside from many other things which can’t be done remotely, colleges r where most all research for science and technology take place, funded by US tax dollars. It’s their findings and discoveries which lead to all medicine, medical devices, cures, prevention, and technology advancement which the private industry uses to create their products and which we all benefit from. It’s the engine of the entire economy. This research and advancement can’t occur remotely, neither can students who go into programs which require clinics or ppl to complete, like nursing, speech therapy, physical/occupational therapy, md’s, psychology, etc. Many colleges have these students working in clinics on campus.

What people knows is that armed teachers are nowhere to be seen but in the United States of America, and not even in its 50 states and territories. Not even in countries at war, or failed states, there is any need to arm teachers. Ever considered that seeking *the cause* of all these mass shootings at schools, and how preventing that military-grade weapons fall in the hands of crazy people - and providing them with mental healthcare, could be better measures? Actual prevention, for a change? By the way, the famous Second Amendment says: "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." The Constitution explains how a militia works in Article 1, Section 8, Clauses 15-16, about the powers of the Congress: "15 To provide for calling forth the Militia to execute the Laws of the Union, suppress Insurrections and repel Invasions; 16 To provide for organizing, arming, and disciplining, the Militia, and for governing such Part of them as may be employed in the Service of the United States, reserving to the States respectively, the Appointment of the Officers, and the Authority of training the Militia according to the discipline prescribed by Congress;" The Second Amendment never meant all the people arming themselves to the teeth; it always meant to have an Army of free citizens commanded by the government they chose, instead of what was usual in that century: armies made of forced recruits, serfs, plebeians, commanded by noblemen and owned by kings. The novel interpretation by NRA was meant to *sell guns,* not freedom and definitely not safety at schools. Please remember, most mass shootings are committed by law-abiding citizens who purchased their guns legally. That's why now the idea of arming teachers presented as a ""solution"" and a law in a place where every madman can get an arsenal elicits protests from the teachers themselves. It's insane.
