It’s sad that there are different rules for parents who gave birth to their children and adoptees. A biological child of a cop wouldn’t be taken away but a potential adoptee of a cop could be. Crazy in my opinion

When you love and trust someone you get confidence and they hold you up. Kim looks to Adam because she knows that he is that to her. I hate when ppl say she just uses him. If that was the case we all use the people we love. They deserve to be happy. That have been through too much pain too long. They deserve happiness.

Yeah I agree! Yes Kim and Adam aren’t the perfect couple where they do absolutely no wrong but that’s NO one! We’re all human and honestly Kim and Adam have a kind of connection where even tho they have their moments, differences and arguments no matter what they ultimately love and care for each other

I:18 - 3:04 proves how much she loves Makayla. I think she has Voight to thank for all this because she was having to go through that process of healing after what happened to her with Roy Walton. She could've just stayed home and retired but after Voight's visit she shook it off and at the end of the day saved a life. She pushed through that barrier as do all 1st responders do after they've been hurt. She is a powerful asset to the team and she realized the job is where she belonged. She had Ruzek as her support blanket and as the legal guardian so if she died Makayla would be left alone. Seems to me like they were made for each other with everything she described. One of the things I admire the most is how whole they've made each other. Makayla lost her whole family and Burgess lost her only unborn child and by coming together with Ruzek they've made that family whole again.

@baileyrayzor1900 No. Makayla didn't lose her whole family does she know she has an Uncle and Aunt that is her family that Kim and Adam didn't find her family background she has biological Uncle and Aunt and her Uncle has the right to see his niece at school there is no restraining order or court order until they went personal and trespassing their home and file counter suit against Kim Burgess

🚔Chicago PD is a really good police drama. Kim is a good character. I wish USA Network would show CPD more often instead of days of Law and Order SVU. CPD has great varying storylines and not focused on rapes of women and children.

That's also the role Adam plays in her life right now. They aren't an official couple but when one of their lives are in danger they show how much they love each other. Kim when she was missing and when Adam overdosed she was so worried about him when he came to, her calling his name and when he touched her face to really know she was there she closed her eyes. I loved that moment.

@@lunareclipse5423 I think the issue is that in my opinion they didn't really show us Kim's side of all this after episode 2. sure there were Kim centered episodes but I feel like we mostly see Kim hurting Adam and we don't see Kim's side. For example when she "kicked him out" and said that Makayla was doing better when he was gone, why didn't they show us that? Why didn't they show us Makaylas night terrors and the fact that she was doing better when Adam was gone? And why didn't they show us Kim feeling bad and weighing the options before ripping Adams heart out? That's why I think many people have lost the empathy and interest for Kim, because either you make up these explanations in your head or you start hating Kim for how she's treating Adam

I had no idea Kim was white until this past season when they blatantly said she was. Always thought she was hispanic. She always had "New York Puerto Rican girl" swag to me. She even translates spanish a few times in earlier seasons so I guess that's what threw me off too. LOL

She’s an amazing mom and she doesn’t blame everything on Ruzek cause if u look at her therapy session in s10 she says tht she wasn’t rdy bc she wasn’t mentally stable whereas Ruzek kept on pushing her to be in relationship she probably didn’t at the time
