Patriots are so bad, that Drake Maye is the only thing they can talk about. Brady was great at throwing the ball away when a sack was inevitable. It was an underappreciated skill. It's a skill Jacoby doesn't have, there's a desire to make a play when you are down, but throwing it away and coming back for another set of downs is often the better option.

This is so dumb y’all, the dude obviously has to play at some point this year but there’s so much risk in putting him behind what could be a historically bad offensive line as currently constructed. There is almost no risk in waiting longer (until the last quarter of the year). Get a couple starters back, figure out some semblance of a workable offensive scheme, and then throw him in. Say what you want about who overcame adversity who didn’t and all that, there are little to no examples of anyone getting worse or becoming a bust just because they had to wait to play. We’re literally talking about a matter of weeks here, the team may suck right now but jesus we can wait like regular fans if that’s what gives him the best chance to succeed.

I don't think if it's a panic move. Ive seen Brisset over the years since he was drafted. He's a decent QB if he has a clean pocket. He never had a quick release. If Drake has a quicker release, he can alleviate alot of the offensive line problems. When TB12 was in his early yrs, that's what Belichek did. Dink & dunk 5-10 yds, mixed with a decent running game. They didn't have any talented receivers but they got the ball out in 2.5 seconds! Paired with a good D. The 2001 champions was regarded by then "experts" as the least talented contender.

Should they go to Drake No! If Jacoby is hurt Yes. It would be a panic move and we don't want to get the kid killed! With no offensive line.

How to ruin a rookie QB.
@rebreaville9332Ай бұрын
Pats are not entertaining. A rookie QB will not fix that given his overall football experience. Let’’s do what bad teams do and put in Maye so we can talk crap about him after we watch him flail around behind this line.

Bad teams? Every team starting a rookie qb is doing better than the Patriots right now.
@rebreaville9332Ай бұрын
@@polandfresh101 Meant more over past seasons, as in Jets, Bears, Texans who had years of bad QB play with top draft choices. THis year’s Chicago and Washington have real NFL WRs and much better line play, so not a valid comparison to the Pats, who have neither.

What is this millennial BS??? You don’t get any extra points for being “cautious, in the NFL!!!! How is Maye supposed to learn, behind a QB that can’t throw, makes poor decisions, and can’t even run?!?!? At least Maye can extend plays, instead of holding the ball like a statue. Football players PLAY football!!! 🤯🤯 They don’t just sit on the bench in order to protect their confidence!
