Red Sox fan here. Very even trade, all things considered. I know it was hard for Boston to part with 4 of their best prospects when they have been building up their farm system for 5 years, but they finally have a young core at the MLB level to build around so it was time to invest in the major league club,and a front end starter was very much needed. I just hope Crochet is willing to work out an extension and vice versa to make the trade worthwhile. Overall, very happy with the move. Good luck with your new prospects! We really liked Kyle Teel!

The strategy of having the minimum contract guys who are decent, freeing up your big money to sign the impact free-agents should have worked in the last rebuild. Unfortunately, we spent that money on contract extensions for Moncada, TA, Eloy, and Robert, who were all vastly underperforming if not downright busts. This team needs to hire people who actually can evaluate talent and keep the players healthy. I have never seen so many players hurt themselves running to first base.

Just like with Dillon Cease this trade should make the White Sox stay in the cellar next season I say they should lose about 110-115 games this year and might as well get rid of Robert and any other decent players you have left on this team sell to the highest bidder and play out the season. Sorry to sound so negative about this but after what I saw happen last year this team will be a laughing stock for MLB for years to come and Jerry does not care he might as well send the team to Memphis and have better luck there. In other words I don't care what you do with this team anymore I still have 2005 to be grateful for

Chuck, it's worth noting they didn't spend money in any of places they needed to last rebuild. They overpaid for bullpen arms, the most replaceable position in the game, while giving Nomar Mazara a shot at a premium position. I'm going to give Getz a chance, especially since I like the kind of prospects he's bringing in, but I don't trust them in the slightest in free agency until they prove it.

Braden Montgomery kind of reminds me of a Ketel Marte or an Eddie Rosario type Kyle Teal kind of reminds me of a Jason Kendall type I think this trade was really good the other two guys are just bonus
