Webb Eh I dunno...both Connect and the Narutaru OP are pretty fucking sad if you read the lyrics. Narutaru kinda shows the monsters and the horrific events that take place in cutesy papier mache cutouts with crayon drawn backgrounds, I wouldn't call that more subtle. Madoka's first two OPs (TV series and first two films) just had slight foreshadowing and the color palettes of the storyboards gradually get darker with each frame to reflect the mood and tone. Rebellion's OP has much more foreshadowing but still isn't as blatant.

At about 0:53, the whiteboard with Megu-nee's face transitions to Yuki and friends holding hands. In the first few OPs, the hand holding scene pops in with a flower cutout, while in later OPs, this flower is replaced with the whiteboard scene getting torn like a piece of paper... I love how the OP changes everytime something happens. For example: (no major spoiler) There's an episode where they need to find the dog (Taroumaru), so in the OP, the scene that they are all walking/running together with the entrance of the school as the background, the main group don't appear, only the dog does. I 100/100 recommend 'School-Live!', you don't need to know anything about it to enjoy it.
