On a good day, I encourage one mom and help her in her job-the most important job in all the world- she has the next generation in her very hands! I know what it’s like because I was there and I want to be for her what I needed when I was in her shoes. That’s what a good day looks like to me. Thank you for helping me clearly see my mission!

"Mind is interested in what happens, while awareness is interested in the mind itself. The child is after the toy, but the mother watches the child, not the toy." "To be always on the move, learning, discovering, unfolding, is your eternal destiny." "Living is life’s only purpose. To live without self-concern." "You cannot change the course of events, but you can change your attitude, and what really matters is the attitude and not the mere event." "Get hold of the main thing: That the world and the self are one and perfect. Only your attitude is faulty and needs readjustment." --Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj

Thanks a lot Mr. Seth. Two things stood out to me from this presentation. One is to continue to prioritise soft skill and get better one skill at a time. For me, that is communicating clearly. The other lesson is that responsibility is easier to come by than authority. Thank you for sharing.

I asked a boss to take a small, measured, tested (by others & documented) risk. It worked - tripling in returns the amount invested, consistently. Got a bonus. Then I tried a bigger risk, less tested, for fun. Failed miserably. Got fired. Oops. Started a biz specializing in offering the skills from previous success for similar organizations… supporting 4 kids on that now, 8 years later. Fascinated, challenged, and learning every day. Because client’s success is my responsibility. Living up to it feeds my family.

Indeed. Brilliant. I was supremely lucky for a period in my life to have a job where I could destroy org charts, and policies and procedures that had been established by predecessors. Most of their crap was the attempt to solve problems that didn't exist.

My dear friend change isn't always a good formula. Even though, it looks like the first step toward greatness. However, i believe books and theories can't do alone the perfect change we are after. Instead values and ethics can do wonders. For this reason, you may need to concentrate more in promoting these two pillars to make the real change and the perfect one comes true. Thank you.

Thank you Seth ! if you think about work like surfing... I love that.. I'm launching a start up... and there are many things that scare the heck out of me.. But I got to do it regardless..you made a change in my mindset.. I will from now on.. Have a surfers mindset when dealing with something that feels uncomfortable and scary (many situations & many decisions do) but navigating this also gives it the trill of making a difference if it works...love it :) thank you... this is a game changer for me 100% ! Grateful !

19:05 - there's plenty of people that want to describe these practices to you, but if you dont change your attitude, all the tactics in the world aren't going to help.

I think he's overthinking the problem of confidence. People who are confident behave differently than people without confidence. How do we build confidence? We model and mold success. Then the training wheels come off and boom, you now KNOW you can do it. Find what you want to do: Find the people doing it, either build a relationship with those people or build a virtual mentorship. It's about REFERENCE. People generally like talking about their competencies. You'd be surprised which people will talk to you about their success.

So, you’re saying… “make the pitch” when you say “ throw”. Because we’ll learn to trust ourselves again to deal with the drops? Become more resilient? Automatically learn to catch? What if you have 4 kids eating every catch … who need at least 3 catches per day?

I love Seth, but this is just a clanky motivational speech. How does one "choose to decide"? And what happens "If (a problem) is not solvable"? "Then it's not a problem. It's reality" 🤯

I don’t see anything normal today. New normal is just depressing. The pandemic didn’t bring anything positive to the world. Life is not supposed to change only because a little group of millionaires think so. It’s not natural.

Sorry Seth but you’re quite disconnected if you think that taking responsibility and giving away credit will get you anywhere in the corporate world. Sounds nice, but far from reality, but hey it’s good marketing.
