NBK-02 Green & Clear KO GT-01C Navvy double review

One thing people don't always seem to notice is that all for being "Simlified KO's" they have also actually improved the design of the originals somewhat by removing extraneous steps in the Transformation - or even adding features - those secondary on the arms don't exist on the original toy, Having the bucket arm removable is useful too. Though personally I'd deal with that issue on the original by simply swinging it to one side or the other. I even like the use of Purple where the original is green - even though I have the originals I'm still very interested in the KO's too they seem like they are going to be much easier for pick up and play and if you accidentally drop one then replacing it costs less than £13.00 where as replacing a Generation Toy one is a very costly exercise.

I have the KO now there is a lot to like about it - it feels way more solid that the previous one - the ankles work much better than the original - the hips are sensitively simplified so that they make little functional difference same with the track covers - I don't miss the extra transformation step at all. The metal casters are rather great too. The new hinge covers work reasonably well the Fist is well made overall and even has a filled in palm cover already. Also the additional movable rockets is a nice touch too. The gun holds and stores well too in both modes. The only down side is yes the neck does come unpegged a bit easily. I might paint the neck on mine as having a glowing chin does look a bit weird. Overall cheap and cheerful and a large improvement over the previous release. I'm pretty impressed how they can remove extraneous parts and yet make it feel like there is nothing missing at the same time while also adding actual improvements too. If you are unsure then perhaps it might be worth waiting to see if they release a yellow or orange version to have something more unique - or that said the clear one is just gonna make a nice display piece once they are all produced.

Hey, I saw you wondering about the folding gun, in the gap between where the feet end up and the combiner shoulder joint there's a hole where it fits to store. :D

I just got them and agree fully with your review. They are really cutting cost on assembly and the reason isn't the $20. It's because the actual price is $5 USD or 35rmb. This is taobao price. So as you can see they're going for volume and not quality. Although I wouldn't mind paying some more to get a better product. Just not $100usd more

Thanks for not beating around the bush to show how to not have it break. Just bought him on aliexpress for i think about $15? It'll be worth it once it's complete. Not like I really ever play with these once I create the full combiner anyway.

Don't feel bad saying bad things about Scrapper. Seriously, he HATES standing up. Definite room for improvement to be had on the design, as far as center of gravity is concerned.

I bought 3 Bonecrusher mods of NBK (2 normal 1 clear green) for $60 and I have to say that I'm happy enough with them as B.C. was my 1st Constructicon from childhood but I did falter and get the JinBao Mixmaster/Scraper Gravity Builder twin pack and OMG?!!!....Insanely good and I enjoy both NBK and JinBao and hell maybe even Jingjing line....Take them as they come.

Yeah that's something alright. The only way I see a positive is for those collectors which do not want to fork out the money for the Generation Toy gestalt which I own and really like. I get it not every one has the same budget but this is just bad.I would recommend passing on this entire set to be honest.

I'm going to buy both Colours and if they make them in yellow or Orange I'd buy them too. I'm very satisfied with them and I have the original to compare them too - these are much easier to play with and nearly as solid feeling bar some minor materials changes. And they are so cheap all 6 of them will cost about the same as one of the Originals.
