The same thing to me last year,! I calked , they told me , I would get another vote in the mail, I said I don’t want , I want to vote of that day! They said go and give them your id! When two persons with the same name and same birthday register on different days or times, it seems logical to me that the programmer of the machine would have assumed that the same person moved from the older address to a newer address. If the machine is supposed to recognize these registrants as separate people, then I'm inclined to think this opens up the process to serious fraud.

I live in GA, and in the 2020 election, I personally knew of 11 people who went to vote in person on election day and had to fill out provisional ballots because they were told they had already voted. When my husband and myself changed our political affiliation from Democrat to Unaffiliated in 2016, they removed our names from the registration roll, unbeknownst to us. Look, I don't 100% agree with all of the Democratic Party's policies, and after the election is finished, I may change my affiliation to unaffiliated. My views lean a bit to the left, but I generally see myself as a centrist given how I have mixed views and prefer bipartisanship to solve problems on both sides. If you take a look at the North Carolina State Board of Elections (NCSBE) site, it says that the deadline for updates for things like affiliation is due 25 days BEFORE the election. I don't know what happened with this person's case, but to say it was a form of punishment from the party is a stretch and impossible. You realize the Republican party controls the state (Supreme Court, House, and Senate)? If let's just say this was true, the Democratic party would face big legal implications, if that was true.

I have volunteered in the past to manage voting centers, for a small stipend, it was really about doing my duty more than anything else. At the end of the voting night, my wife and I were apalled at the HUGE amount of red bags filled with votes left on the ground outside of post office night drop boxes. There wasnt enough room to hold them so people running other voting stations just threw their bags at the base of the postal containers and drove off. I spent the night in my car until 6 a.m. protecting the votes. Please! Please! Keep an eye on the night time collection boxes at your local post offices. While at poles this am an elderly gentleman was told he couldn't vote because he already voted during early voting at a different early voting location. He angrily told them he in fact did not vote nor did he visit that location and said he was going to make calls and heads were going to roll. He was pacified because they insisted he could vote under provisional voting but never told him that vote will likely not get counted, because the person who fraudulently stole his right to vote....well, that vote has already been counted and since voting is anonymous, they don't know how that person voted. With all respect, reminds me of someone saying my mother’s second cousin’s best friends coworker said something happened to her. And you should see how many people go to vote only to find out they were removed from the voting roles based on politicians saying they think maybe they moved out the area or something. But that’s not a sexy and exciting as some rumor. Anybody who has a problem with the system is able to get a provisional ballot… Any voter can do that and figure it out within the next 10 days.

You can check NC voter registration and see 2 different Conor Thomas Brennan with different registration numbers and addresses. Cannot verify 100% that there are indeed 2 different men but there are 2 entries and one vote was invalided and cancelled.

He thinks he has voted but actually his vote was cancelled and only one of these folks gets to cast a vote? How does first guy find out before election that his vote was cancelled and he needs vote again? Are we then in a loop if there is a notification system? Wonder if they look a like?

@@marsharichmond165 I’m not sure of the process for notifying a voter their ballot was rejected. I assume they use the registered address to send correspondence. I’m also not certain that there are 2 people in this case. It could have been this man’s original registration from a previous address but then it raises the question how it was already used if it wasn’t by him. If there really is a name twin he should be getting notified of his rejected ballot to go and correct the situation. Their looks don’t matter since there is not a database of pictures being checked at the polls. Only name and address. Voter ID is in place but it is just to physically check the name/address against what their voter roll books show, vs previously taking the words from voters. Although they still ask for your verbal confirmation.

This same exact thing happened to my son in 2020. They ended up letting him vote anyway, which I always assumed meant that it was a mistake that they quickly cleared up, but I don't really believe he was confused for someone with the same name. His last name is not common. My name is WAY more common, and I've never been told I already voted! I've never felt good about that whole scenario. We are bracing ourselves for November 5th. 😐

It’s possible to have multiple people with the same name and same birthday so what’s really required is a unique ID number in a Voter’s ID.
