33 minutes of straight truth, guys. 12 years of DD’s unprepared, conservative “play not to lose” mentality finally blew up in everyone’s faces with far and away the most talented roster he’s ever had. If we don’t want the downward trajectory to continue in 2025, he’s gonna have to have a real “come to Jesus” moment in the offseason, but unfortunately, I think he’s proven that his ego is too big for that to happen. So I’m very grateful for all of the guys that chose to come back, but my expectations are pretty much nonexistent.

I just had a chance to rewatch the game from an ECU perspective and it is absolutely egregious that Hollywood Smothers didn't get more touches throughout the game. Especially in the 3rd quarter. He did have the best game of his career though. CJ Bailey is such an exciting QB to watch. He has the potential to be an NFL star and I am looking forward to seeing him add weight and develop. Your definition of insanity is spot on, but let's also look at the #1 sign of a bipolar manic episode: Delusional Feelings of Grandeur. Especially in regard to comments like "ECU shouldn't even be on the same field as NC State". Give me a break. What makes NC State football so special? In the history of our series, you have won a whopping 54% of the time. The first half of that history, all games were played in Raleigh. Since the series became more fair, ECU now has the edge. How many 10 win seasons does NC State have in its illustrious history? NC State hasn't even won a conference championship since people were cutting a rug to La Freak on the disco dance floor in the 1970s. Delusions of Grandeur for sure. Get over yourself.

The Timeouts that DD calls in the most unnecessary moments is something to be studied. There was one in the ECU game I was confused about and the main one is the GT game that caused us to kick a 50+ yard field goal and miss to loose the game lol

Ironically, I thought State should have called a Timeout right before CJ threw the Interception to end it. It was 2nd & 1 so the clock wasn't stopped. On the ECU 38. Would have used one there. Don't even get me started on GT

On the 86 yard run, you’ll notice ECU’s Power back passing states entire secondary. I checked a draft site and this back has a 4.54 40 time. This was his longest career run because usually in an 80 yard sprint somebody on the defense runs a 4.3. This didn’t happen because one of the following is true. no one on the defense run sub 4.6. If this is true then, There’s no need to keep any linebackers safeties or corners. The defensive backs most likely were fatigued from playing too much. This typically occurs when money is invested to get players that are far superior to their depth behind them. As a result, the coaching staff is reluctant to take them out. Any NFL GM will tell you, you spend money on one proven lockdown corner. The rest of the defensive backs are interchangeable, and come in and out constantly to create experience and depth. No matter what the reason, at the end of the year, there’s no excuse. It’s the coaching staffs fault. This is not something you figure out in your 12th year.

The only transfer that lived up to their ZC at center. He was the only o-lineman that played well consistently to me. Waters looked a step slow and uninvested like KC most of the year but when you have KC, waters, and Grayson who were all negative ROA mixed with poor o-line play I knew we were doomed

Yes, actually. Overachieved in both 2020 and 2021. Entered both of those years with relatively low public expectations (2020 especially after 2019) and reeled in 8 and 9 win seasons. Both seasons saw multiple key players with injuries, and yet the train kept rolling.

How did the whole conference become "Triangle Good"? Syracuse is our lone bowl winner from ten games. State is "par for the course" in a down year for the ACC. How much progress can we make with most teams in a rebuilding year? Useful additions may be in short supply, good thing Dave is a developmental coach. This year was a team that did not gel, major talent was wasted with Concepcion and Waters because the O-line was too hit or miss. An ignominious end to a busted season of almost and not quite. Go pack.

A small silver lining is that CFB is now a very year-to-year type deal. With the frequent changing of rosters and staffs, you can quickly right the ship after down years. Look at Arizona State or Colorado. Or even Syracuse. NC State can just as easily bounce back, but it's clearly going to take philosophical changes to do so

I feel like we always give TG a pass. He’s the LB coach… arguably the position that cost us at least a couple wins and failed time and time again in the basics. Is he that great or just a beneficiary? He inherited great LBs, couldn’t backfill with any and then promptly left. FYI, and I might have miscalculated but his first LB recruit… Betty.

Tony is a great LB coach. But this year, I feel that we didn't have the right guys in the system. There were COUNTLESS examples of the Linebacker in the right spot, yet the tackle still wasn't made. That's not on the Coach. Player has to make the play.

There are many coaches out there. He’s part of the lane Kiffin coaching tree. However, head coaches don’t like to be outshined by their OCs. That’s the reason ECU had to fire their head coach in order to get the OC the freedom he needed.

If we don’t hire a real DC after that showing then Doeren has given up. There were, and still are, far too many strong proven DCs available for us to settle for FAL. Love the guy but we need and can afford better. On another note, Doeren proving yet again he doesn’t care about winning bowl games, too. We show up unprepared EVERY year. But it’s also his stupid game decisions. I don’t think the OC is the problem…It doesn’t matter who the OC is if they are never allowed to ball out. “Only score enough points to give the fans a heart attack or lose in the final minutes” -The Dave Doeren Philosophy Dave needs to fix that or he needs to go

Any player fighting needs to be expelled from their school and banned from the sport. Players need to learn sportsmanship and to play with emotional maturity. Not this playground brawl BS. Don't care about their special little careers or how hard they've worked. When you openly assault or injure someone and theirs recorded evidence of it, charges should be filed. Fernando Carmona of the Razorbacks blatantly stomped on an opposing player's ankle, breaking it during a game this weekend. He hasn't even been suspended... Should be in jail.
