I don't think so. Future look bright with true freshman CJ Bayley. He's done a lot with little

It is year 12. Dave has to go. NCSU has too many good players for this result.

As a GT fan I hope you dominate again next week. Tough loss for yall and lucky break for us. Hope your team gets bowl eligible !

As a Tech guy I have to compliment your team, game came down to one play. Your team looked well coached and well prepared from an outsider’s point of view. Good luck next game.

We are not well coached. The coaching is our biggest flaw.

The pass to collins left 9 seconds on the clock at the 41. You passed again and it was incomplete with 5/6 seconds. You didn’t have to burn that timeout. Run one more quick play and call the time out and go for the field goal. We’re acting like he had to burn that time out.

These types of press conferences are getting tiring to listen to. Just say, "goodbye" and "thank you" and move on.

I think all the coaches need to play Madden/NCAA more to learn from the online community. We all know the SMART coaching call is to teach the kids to not take a TD but go down anywhere between the 15-10 yard line. #1 you give your self room for another first down, #2 GT only had 90 seconds with one timeout, #3 we could have ran the clock down by taking QB kneels to :03 to kick a 20 yard (less than 58 if my math is mathing), #4 we would have one 24-23. Why was GT okay with a 1-point win but, we seem to be to good for it?

Did it ever get discussed that on NC St’s go ahead TD they would have been better served by going down intentionally and then running the clock down and kicking a short field goal

DD has to take us to an ACC championship game next year or he is gone, no more excuses
@JamesThomas-dz4vj3 күн бұрын
He should have been gone 8 years ago. The guy has been here for TWELVE years, and you think he'll suddenly figure it out in year 13? That's like expecting a growth spurt at the age of 65. It's beyond old.
@coffeemountain3563 күн бұрын
Year 12 of mediocrity. The choice has been obvious for many years. Either Doeren moves on from the Wolfpack or we continue to expect 6-6 seasons. Let’s see what the AD & donors have in mind for Wolfpack football.

14 pts for GT DST off turnovers came down to QB mistakes that coaches cant completely control. It happens, move on & beat UNC

Some things never change, and one of them is that Doeren will always be mired in mediocrity. This guy gets paid way too much money to continue to come up laughingly short every season, especially after running his mouth in pre-season about pulling off 10 wins, playing for the ACC Championship, getting into the new FBS playoffs, etc. etc. etc. Your lame excuses long ago wore very thin, Doeren. Do the school, the students, and especially the old-guard alumni like myself a massive favor and tender your resignation right now. There is nothing more that needs to be said.

Omg stop with the excuses after every loss. bUt iF SiX sEcOnDs Nah man. Incomplete game, failure clock management and coaching all through the year. Offensive calls were mind boggling prior to the 4th qtr. The wind shifted as he kicked it, any of us there could tell you that but why are we losing by that much with this squad in the first place? Somethings gotta get better. Year 12. It's winning the ACC next year or you need to leave.

Nah, he can start packing. Take your losses and buy him out. We've seen the ceiling and the floor with Dave as head coach. Time for a change

Your post was excellent right up until the very last statement. He's not going to suddenly figure things out in year 13. That's like expecting a growth spurt at the age of 65. It was time to move on in 2016. It's just an utter embarrassment now.

He doesn't want to win an ACC championship. Definitely should have one by now.
