Just found this video. I used to love that part of Scotland - before the NC500 (in my opinion) spoilt it - all the way round from Ullapool to Dunnet Head or down from Tongue by Altnaharra to Lairg. Some beautiful beaches along the north coast Dunrness, Sangobeg, Ceinnabeinne,(Ceannabeinne is pronounced 'cyown a ben yi' BTW), Achininver, Torrisdale etc and along via Bettyhill & Melvich. We often visited the Dunnet Bay caravan site and made the trip up to Dunnet Head. It was lovely in June when you could watch sunset and sunrise, literally minutes apart. Thanks for reminding me of this. I understand why people want to visit but they should do as you do - stop and admire and appreciate all the little places. Instead some of them treat it like a racetrack.Or worse, as a rubbish dump and outdoor toilet. These are the ones who get responsible campervanners a bad name. X

Although I’m in the process of having an NV200 kitted out, I won’t be travelling as you two do as I can’t walk very far, only enough to give my dachshund Lucy a walk, on the flat! Watching your videos makes me feel as though I’m travelling with you. Thank you. 🥰

Greetings from Poland. Loved this video very much. The music matched the scenery and mood of the weather very well. Again, your camera work Mike was exceptional, as was your commentary and your humour. Smoo Cave was brilliant as was the walk along the beach with Keira. I hope Tricias knee is a lot better and windscreen repair is completed. See you again soon

Great video. Scotland has a great variety of delicious food 😋. I believe the legend of the old woman falling in the water and getting washed away, probably eaten too much square sausage and scampi. 🍷🍺👍 🐶🐾🐾🐶

Lovely to see Keira enjoying the beach, but like ours, she is like a sponge for sand🐕 Thanks so much for the shout out, much appreciated. Glad you enjoyed Cocoa Mountain. There is another outlet of theirs in Dornoch, just to tempt you some more. Thanks again guys.

So much fun watching your journeys and I love the humor from you both. Super enjoyable film, music and scenery 👍🏼 Great history lessons and stories. Seeing John Lennon’s memorial garden brought tears to my eyes as I am a huge Beatle fan. Wonderful music walking through the garden. Nicely done! Looking forward to your next journey ❣️

Still getting caught up on your videos and enjoying very much being able to experience all that wonderful scenery. I'm curious about the reference at the beginning of the video after sticking out your tongue and saying, "Thank goodness, it wasn't called _____." Couldn't make it out well enough to Google it. Guessing it's a Scottish term that Americans just don't know. Thanks!
@MikeandTriciaOotnAboot2 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan, yes its probably not a known term in america, but I'm sure you can hazard a guess.

Loved the film guys. Great to see Keira having such a good time. We've arrived at Stonehaven now after a very very wet and windy trip via Durness and Sands at Gairloch. The van has been great. Hope to meet you again sometime.

At first, I thought you were giving gene Simmons from kiss a run on his tongue🤪. Another a Story I read about was that the wolf of Baddenoch tossed a few bodies down the hole in the roof of that cave. I think John Lennon’s aunt lived there n so his visits. Love the video. So many good memories from one of my visits to Scotland. Thank you
