Absolutely loving your videos. Finally someone showing all of us researchers and wannabe van owners the actual routines of daily van life. Putting up awnings, setting up window screens etc. Love it and love your channel.

Thanks Paul, we try to throw a van thing or two into most of our videos as well as showing where we go. Many thanks for the feedback 😀 👍

Really interesting. Love old ruins. Those gargoyles were definitely weather beaten. The dogs enjoyed watching Keira explore

Greetings from Poland. Caithness has so much to offer- funfacts, historical facts and great photography. What a brilliant video. You certainly packed a lot into this day! The morning routine must by now be down to a fine art. I bet you can get it all done in a few minutes. The little disused fishing port was very interesting as was the John Nicolson Monument (Festina Lente!) What fabulous scenery here on the coast. The Mervyn Tower was weird. Better to be safe than sorry. That path to the castle along the clifftop looked very dangerous. Not for me thanks. The 2nd castle ruins, old croft house and 5000 year old cairns were very interesting. The Round Cairn and 60 x 20 "row of terraced houses" cairn were brilliant. All made by hand thousands and thousands years ago. On to the Hill O Stanes - very strange. Looked like a graveyard to me. Cairn O'Get and Norse Lighthouse and Sinclair Castle to finish. WOW! What a day I'm tired out. See you again soon.

Yes there was a lot in that episode because there is so much ancient history around, and we are suckers for that, especially when there is a good story to be told, Sorry but we are glad to have tired you out, it means we are doing well, and so are you for watching all of these.

Hi Alan, we had just finished filming before you arrived. The village and harbour were also great but we didn't film, was having a day off, but some great wild camping spots down at the harbour. Best regards, Keira sends a cuddle👍

So enjoyed your Vlog.. you visited so many unique places and the scenery was absolutely stunning. Great job videoing! your narration and history keeps me intrigued as you go place to place. I just can’t imagine building all those places back then...Tricia’s a trooper walking all that distance, I’d need a walking stick 😁 Thanks for taking us along 👍

Thanks so much Jackie, the pictures on the boards helped s bit to imagine life back then but they would have been thriving communities and you do need to imagine. Trish did very well, didn't need to carry her at all 😉

Great piece of history, too bad it has fallen into disrepair n not kept up like the Clara cairns. Thanks for the visit. Don’t know why, but I hear your voice n I think of whiskey 😉 nice little story Trisha 😱

Enjoyed that. Good call on giving up at that dodgy plank, one slip and you could be looking up from the bottom of the cliff. The hill of stanes was interesting. I reckon they had to get rid of some hardcore and thought lets have a laugh and baffle the experts in years to come 😏👍. Time you got yourself a drone I think 😁😏👍. Stay safe in these infernal lockdowns, its scuppered our plans. 👍

You may be right Ken about the stones, this will confuse them in a few millenia 🤣. Not full lockdown here...yet...but we can't travel outside our area so our plans scuppered too.

Glad to see you still out and about. Here in Wisconsin I think we are doing the herd immunity. Kids have been back at school n yes they have been getting sick and getting over it like the flu. Some wear masks some don’t. Not sure how the politicians think they can control the whole country. Like have a lock down on Election Day? Yeah no way.

Hi Philip, thanks, i was waiting for somebody to point that out, yes thats the literal meaning which is a contradiction of terms but when I looked into it, the broader interpretation is to proceed with balanced amounts of expedience and diligence.
