The thing is..people wasnt doing rudimental "Funk" but MDFS. Everbody had their own style and this was CS's style and they were good at it. If you see most of the other sections from this period they had their own "swag". Over the years more and more folks started doing or TRYING to do rudimental "funk". Not that its a bad thing but their own styles have gone by the wayside. Its funny because they joked MDFS but years later converted much to the style.

I agree... Cold Steel as it is today is better than it was in the past. I think that the harnesses held them back a little, but they still had some amazing cadences. Glad that the converted to chest tenors and ditched the harnesses

Wow classic this clip is but for sure to different styles and to tell the truth I didn't like CS much back then but they always put on a good show but MD used to chop the hell out of them lolz... Don't chop of my head this is just my opinion thanks...
