We all love Nolf but can we stop for a moment and appreciate how good Hidlay is? In a world without Nolf he might be a 2x NCAA Champ.

Great point - Hidlay is very talented.

DPS Breakdowns hidlay is a beast but deakin is just on another level this year undeniably! He’s straight going for the the title I mean 6-2 this year already against hidlay I mean beast!

Nolf plays chess at the highest level while most of these guys (who arw awesome) are made to look like they are playing tik tak toe. I feel like he's one of the smartest wrestlers I've ever seen and he's the most entertaining to watch. He's always 3 steps ahead. Awesome video.

I love watching Nolf the kid is amazing one of a kind wrestler he should have never lost a match!
@nickolastrainer8900 Жыл бұрын
Nolfs number one go to move seems to be a single leg. Simple but effective and he's very fast I'm sure that helps. Once again thank you for the AMAZING BREAK DOWN VIDEOS.

Hey thanks a lot for doing these. One question - why do you choose to do these analyses of NCAA matches rather than Olympic or world championships?
@DPSBreakdowns5 жыл бұрын
Good question. I would be open to doing something similar for Senior Freestyle. This particular format is just experimental right now.

As a former MMA Coach wrestling/grappling coach , I would have loved to have had these videos when I was coming up. I didn't start out a good wrestler - I really stank at first. Instructionals such as this one made the difference..back then we had to pay $20-50 per disk/tape for instruction.. this is a service to those guys who started wrestling Freshman year. What I can't figure out - who gave the 6 thumbs downs? Aikido teachers? Now I use these videos for my homeschool child's PE segment. You are helping more folks learn to wrestle than you probably guess. Great job, great format, great production - keep it up and we will keep watching. (subscribed)

Fantastic video and format. Also the length is perfect. It’s nice to have it all collected and not having to scroll between alot of vids. Nice just watching the video and listening. Not a bunch of text and stuff. Thanks alot!

I have shown two of your videos to my wrestlers. One to point out that no matter the move if you train it enough you can go top level with it. The other was to show you always need to chain moves together. I think it helped them so keep it up.

Awesome vid. Really like Nolf's aggressive offensive style. Makes me wish college wrestling moved a little more towards freestyle scoring. If Nolf wants to just let some guy go, wish the opponent wouldn't get the escape. I always hated riding time too as it's not in high school or any form of international.

Awesome job as usual. I know opinions are like assholes, but Hidley had a takedown at the end of the 1st period and no takedown at the end of the 3rd period. I’m not saying Hidley would have won the match, as that would have changed both wrestlers strategies going forward.

Really great analysis coming from a fellow BJJ black belt. At 11:55 if Van Brill had locked up a figure 4 with his legs (lockdown of scorpion from the back) he would have landed with a cross-body ride (aka twister in BJJ and “guillotine” in wrestling).
