A girl on my team made a beautiful diving catch at shortstop. It hurt so bad she was crying, but she was so happy about the catch she couldn’t stop smiling, and she stayed in the game. Our second basemen got all 3 outs in an inning by herself. A diving catch for one out, then a catch and a tag for the last two. It was awesome

i've played softball since i could hold a bat (i'm now 24) and i always come back to the clip of warren. as a third baseman myself, i know the feeling of making a play like that. it's unmatched. i love everything about this moment -- the greatness of her diving catch, the trust her teammates have in her to back off, the joy of the first baseman when warren throws the out in time. even the coaches coming out of the dugout to observe the play because they're that excited. there's just so much happiness in that clip it makes me so emotional every time i watch it

The most impressive thing to me was on the diving catches the girls that came up firing that ball knew exactly where to go with it. That's a big thing a lot of guys forget even in the majors is where are the base runners at. And it's very fundamental one of the first things that you learn is know where you're going if the ball comes to you. All of those ladies came up firing and to the right bag even making a DP. Nice work ladies

I watched the game where Jesse Warren made the diving catch and sent it to first to Sherill denying the touch back. Incredible double. All of these were amazing. Didn't realise so many home runs have been denied through outstanding catches.

My days of softball are long gone. (I’m 57 now). I’ve played ball since I was 9 years old and only quit in 2020. Unfortunately, back in those days, we didn’t have all the “camps” and special programs they do now. But luckily in my era, after I was done playing ball in grade school, junior high and high school (I didn’t go to college), I continued to play on many teams (one time I was on 5 teams in one year). One was fast pitch, the others were slow pitch. I played fast pith into my 30s until my team eventually no longer got together. Then I played slow pitch (co-ed) every year - usually on 2 or 3 teams a year, until eventually as time went on, all the teams faded away. I don’t know what it’s like for kids nowadays after college fast pitch is over. I don’t think there are City fast pitch leagues anymore. :(. Or if women continue to play softball LONG after their 20s like I did.
