Incredible series! Ole Miss made one of the best riches to rags and back to riches runs over the season in the history of college sports.

Horton played one heck of a game. Pitched over 100 pitches. He did his part to get OU a win. Just a Freshman like Elliot for Ole Miss. both really good ones. Just Ole Miss had some hits to tie the game, then attacked when mistakes were made. What a great game overall.

Catcher and pitcher weren’t on the same page. Mistakes are made when the pressure is on. What an ending!

That kid Horton was special. And we tied the game before the catcher/pitcher mistakes. Easily forgotten. Nightmare for the catcher in such a critical game. Hope he lets it go and has a great and long career.

On both sides I thought the manager left their starters in a little too long. Both pitched outstanding, don’t get me wrong, but both times I thought, why not bring in your best bullpen arms here in these scenarios? Counts were a little high on both. That said, great game, so much fun to watch.

Congratulations to Mississippi. But I thought it was odd how the Oklahoma pitcher seemed to fall apart in the 9th inning and his manager made no move to replace him.
@francisdashwood17602 жыл бұрын
It's the 8th inning...but I don't think he ''fell apart''. The 2 balls got past the catcher, which allowed the 2 runs to score. I don't think it was the pitcher's fault.
@danielb56582 жыл бұрын
That was their All American Closer. You’ve made your bed at that point. He didn’t pitch bad. He just had a couple of mix ups in communication with the catcher.

The plan should have worked,OU up by a run and very good reliever comes in to mop up. OU was beat as soon as it became 3-2.

As long as it's consistent for everyone, what's the problem? If college umps called tight games at the plate, the scores would be 25-20 and take 4 hours to play.
