Got nothing but love for the Dolls, Settes, GG's, 14K, Black Foxes, Divas, and the Stings will forever be my fav but they got all of them beat.

I like both bands. The legion always comes with musicianship and hardcore discipline; the the new dance routines are great for showing togetherness and is a sure way to get their numbers up (like BCU) with future recruits. The Legion is the best band for a real and solid marching band enthusiast! NCAT always comes with musicianship and precision. They kill competition because they show more bottom and more woodwind; that’s a weakness for all HBCU bands. NCAT will expose most bands with only those two factors. They are a well oiled killing machine!

This ultimately came down to execution. NCAT had the better spirit mix, but NSU sounded better and executed damn near perfectly... Overall, great battle between these programs

My opinion nsu had the more balanced band. Both bands were good and let's be clear I like both bands, but I like Nsu better in this battle. To me I heard a lot of notes being over shot with A&T and that Gin and Juice arrangements with the woodwinds trying to crank a root part of the song "WAY BACK" I didn't like it. Both were great, but Nsu got this one. It was close though.

I will give you the trumpet player that came in at the wrong time for NSU, but overall, NSU sounds much better. it comes down to tone quality and balanced sound. that's not a dig a NCAT... they sound pretty good. but Norfolk tone is nice and dark and it gives them a completely different depth of sound.
