Hi there from sunny Scotland , just like to say thanks for an excellent video which was very well explained & easy to understand. I just purchased the NCE power cab & SB5 I didnt think it actually read cv values so it is a big bonus to have learnt this on your video. Ive subscribed to your channel & will look out for any more useful hints & tips. 5 stars tutorial CHEERS Vince

Greetings from Wales! Thank you for a clear and concise explanation of this process which enabled me to synchronise the correct number of exhaust beats to each wheel revolution.

Wow! Great video! This system is way more user friendly than the Lenz DCC system I have been using. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for such a clear and simple video on programming. Unfortunately there’s an abundance of vids that are very poorly shot and it’s hard to read the lcd screen. I liked and subbed

Excellent tutorial! Step x step and note for note. I just think that the bell should be loud as much as 8..If you ever visited a rail yard and listened to the locomotives, you'd notice that the bell is rather loud. I believe this is for "awareness safety purposes" It would be great if there was a way we could convert both horn and bell sound to a proper scale level.

Is this how you change the volume on a dcc decker or is it how to change what type of sound your engine makes

Can you do this on the layout track & not programming track. If so what is method or is it the same - press key four times etc.

So it is possible to program on the main and not have to be concerned about the other locomotives being programmed to the specific other... How come then the rule of thumb states that it Is always best to do any configuration on a program track and isolate the program from the Main (and vice versa) in order to accomplish any personal CV changes, etc.. When if one chooses to program on the main the Power Cab specifies or offers the choice of locomotive (road #) a or one has the option to choose what ever loco # that is to be programmed? Seems to be a built in "safety option" in the power cab in order to "fool proof" the system.

its too bad it doesn't play the sound while programming any volumes for instant feedback.

I thought you are supposed to change CV settings using "programming on the main"?

How do you know what cv's are on different locos or are cv's the same all locos? I wouldn't think so because different locos have different functions don't they. Some are not as functional as others. Thanks. So would you highly rate the NCE power cab?
