Ncila Almost Recovered and the Mbiri Pride at their Best

Man, Ncila has been having such a hard time of it. Horrible snare wound, lost the tip of his tail, lost most of his mane and the pride has been giving him a difficult time. I hope he gets all his mojo back, and then some. He's due some good luck.

Thanks so much TVS@T for the updates. Could barely contain emotions. Ncila is a warrior defining odds to live. It's comforting to hear the Mbiri pride has welcomed him back. It's a shame that some humans choose to be ignorant, to be barbaric in their treatments of the lions & wildlife. Come on people, choose to be better humans.

Thank you Glad to see Ncila recover and even more happy that he's accepted out of pride This was worrying me a lot He would have recovered much much faster if his treatment had been continued and not just a sterile spray on the wound at the beginning of the accident (from the human) and then forgotten and left to his fate

I hope when Ncila gets his swagger back he’s like to all that abused him HOW DO YOU LIKE ME NOW !! Was the a leader who naturally evolved into that rank and didn’t inherit it, There is a difference, Ya think ! Glad his yawns are in the full range as when healing that’s critical but when stitches were present not so much as he could obviously rip them out, Do you guys think the interaction of being sedated and all the intervening ( human affliction) he will be more cautious than others or in some wishful thinking way appreciative ? We try stay further than 10m from the animals to give them space. If the animals decide to come closer to the vehicle then if safe we remain where we are

Since his injuries were caused by man. Maybe give him some pain killers to help his recovery. I think that since the injuries were cause by humans it's "ok" to give a little assist. Maybe some anti-biotics as well.

Respected searchers, guides and especially the national park, why not help a wounded animal? Where are the veterinarians then? Especially if the injury was caused by a human. Ridiculous excuses that you will not disturb their natural balance, that you do not interfere with nature and the like are unacceptable. You make money from them, every day, 24/7, you take tourists, drive those jeeps, pave the roads with your wheels, go to their places of residence, film, take photos... hey, you live off them.
