The NCIS team investigates when a seaman's body is found at the bottom of the sea in his dress whites, with a ceremonial sword. They discover that he was addicted to a MMORPG. Now, the team must figure out how involved he was in the game and how far he would go to get revenge on his arch enemy, another sailor.

The Triva that we get from Ducky is actually the true. Mostly. The times it that might not be true, isnt made up or a lie, but just no really confirmation on what actually happened with the that bit of historical period, just thoeries. Which the creators still used. So all of his Triva is true or at the very least has a basis of truth in it. As for the guy who cant legally be punished. He probably still going to be punished. A pretty decent chance he going to be discharged from the miltary. Dont know if it be a dishonourable discharge though. But thats is possible.

Great episode, though I must say it was the first one where I immediately caught some of the 'forensic' nonsense that most TV shows make themselves guilty of, which in this case was the insinuation that Abby was able to access all player data by finishing the game. That would be a blatant violation of international privacy laws that all online games must adhere to... It was also this episode that made for a personal turning point in my personal opinion of DiNozzo, who I first thought to be annoying and arrogant, but as of this episode I started coming to terms with him being a lot of really good comic relief, on top of being a more than average investigator...

This episode's story of mixing up an RPG with reality reminds me of the early Tom Hanks movie Mazes and Monsters (1982).
