I had a question on the NCLE that threw me for a loop, it said the contact lens rotated to the "wearers left".. is it always the wearer or are you referring to the observer when you are explaining?

Hello, I’m confused with this concept. The example given, -3.00 -1.75 x 180, if the lens design rotated 20 degrees to the right, wouldn’t the new RX become -3.00 -1.75 x 160? Im trying to figure out the concept.

I would like to say, THANK YOU for your video. Watching your video help me greatly in passing the NCLE. There are not a lot of video that directly focus on the NCLE, which is why I think what you do is so great. Much respect for you. Im going to refer my friends to your video. Again, Thank you GREATLY....

Thank you so much for these videos. I took my NCLE written Monday and passed. I listened to your videos all the way there!! I'm taking my practical tomorrow and am cramming and watching your videos. Would you consider doing more videos with examples talking about blink movements etc for questions like too tight, too loose etc.

Very proud of you!! I will consider those videos 📺 😃

Any tips on slit lamp questions? Not sure how in depth they get on the NCLE
@nclecontactlenstraining3 жыл бұрын
@@LWNmusic for the NCLE you mainly need to study the various types of illuminations (ex. Diffuse, indirect) and their uses. Also, learn the magnification range and the best starting mag. That should be most questions!

@@nclecontactlenstraining I appreciate it. I've watched all your videos. The books are great and all, but I need visuals, so your videos helped a lot. Thanks again

If the spectacle axis for example is 20(same is ordered in lens) , you find the marks align at 30 degree. Does that mean we should calculate the rotation from 180 to 30 or from 20 to 30?
@chrisasaro2391 Жыл бұрын
THANK YOU for creating these helpful videos!!! Is the direction of rotation nasally and temporally the same for each eye or is one different than the other?
@nclecontactlenstraining Жыл бұрын
Good question! Nasally for the OD is clockwise and nasally for OS is counterclockwise. Temporally for OD is counterclockwise and temporary for OS clockwise.

Question on the test asked how many degrees and to which direction. Please help how do you determined the amount of degrees. Thank you
@ericskitchen77942 жыл бұрын
In the exam will they use hours for the rotation? Example the lens is sitting at 8h. In that case it would be rotated 60 degrees CW.
@nclecontactlenstraining2 жыл бұрын
Yes, typically one would state “the markings are resting at the 8 o’clock position…”

So what if the @is 170 and you have to add 45 ?
@nclecontactlenstraining2 ай бұрын
With an Rx 180 = 0 So, 170 + 45 = 35 170 to 180 (I.e. 0) to 010 to 020 to 030 to 035

still having a hard time understanding this concept. Any help on this equation: RX: -7.00 -2.75x 170 K:43/43 When using a trial lens and slit lamp to evaluate fit of a soft toric lens, you notice the reference marking is positioned at seven-o-clock. What is the cylinder axis of the lens to be ordered. A) 170 B)180 C)10 D) 20
@nclecontactlenstraining Жыл бұрын
7 o’clock is clockwise, because 6 o’clock is at the bottom of the “clock.” 6 o’clock is the proper orientation of the lens. Clockwise is “left.” LARS LEFT ADD RIGHT SUBTRACT 170 + 10 = 180
@tobiasbrisa13462 Жыл бұрын
@@nclecontactlenstraining Interesting, the answer is D) 20
