I can relate to an incident that I faced in the Jawa 42. The pipe coming from the fuel pump to injector(S shaped) developed a hole and sprayed a hell a lot of fuel everywhere. I was a miracle that the vehicle did not catch fire. The reason behind this is the excess quantity of ethanol blending in the petrol. Ethanol degrades fuel hoses very quickly. Only solution at this moment is to buy BMW car fuel hoses or Ford Ecosport fuel hose in bulk(NBR rubber hose) and cut it to length. BMW/Ford fuel hose is rated until E25/E20 fuel and can withstand the E20 blend without disintegrating. There will be more cases of BS6 bikes catching fire in the future when they are continuously exposed to E20 fuel.

Seems like the pipe can also breaks when filling petrol, the fuel nozzle is pushed too hard too deep

I was also experienced the same problem with my 2014 Honda CB trigger CBF last year, and I didn't changed the pipe, just inserted high quality smaller petrol pipe and sealed (secured) both ends with epoxy resin.

I faced this same issue in my Classic Signals 350 (BS4) Last year. It was 3 years old bike. Literally, I had to change my fuel tank. It costed me Rs. 10000/- and it was not in the warranty period. Luckily I had good connection in my bike's authorized service center and they helped me to cover this through insurance. Once I completed my bike perfect, I immediately sold my bike and purchased Meteor 350. One more thing if you love your bike then never ever take your bike to Abdul's or Anwar's bhai shop for repairing. They will screw your bike like anything. Always take you Enfield to authorized dealer's repair centre only. In the end they will also screw your bike but in much better way.
