Both Mark and Taeyong wrote their parts for Sticker, and they have written for a lot of their songs in the past (they even have some unreleased songs that they wrote)

Yes both Mark & Taeyong almost always write their raps & have like 40 writing credits on NCT hit songs. Taeyong also works a lot with producers in the studio in his free time. As a result he has six highly produced demos of his own compositions on soundcloud so at when he & SM feel bith he & those songs are ready we WILL be seeing taeyongs songs in his groups or as solos.

The demo was sang by the producer itself, Director Yoo (Yoo Yong Jin). He's a senior producer and a legend in SM and kpop industry. He's also known as SM's vocal god. That's why the guys knew the song was hard vocally. He got song with DO (EXO) Tell Me What is Love. I think this was also the 1st time the guys worked with Yoo Yong Jin..so they felt honour.

Maybe its the first time for the group but Taeyong actually has a song with Yoo Yong Jin titled "Cure' wherein Taeyong wrote his own rap :)

What I still love most about the boys all hearing Sticker for the first time, is that Taeyong instantly jumps up - he's on his feet, he's vibing, he's being vocal, he's reassuring the group and he's being positive. Taeyong's incredible leader energy is on display. I know now that we have seen the success of Sticker, it might be easy to forget that the boys said they were nervous about this song once, and even here we can see them saying the song is hard to do - I am so glad we showed them that their hard work was worth it.

their recording booth habits are so fascinating! taeil holding his soul, and putting his whole body into the session, and then doyoung who uses his arms to guide his voice and holds the music stand like an anchor, i think that shows just how intensive voice control and vocalizing can be. i really enjoy how you guys describe taeil as thunder, doyoung as wind, and haechan as lightning too^^ thank you for reacting to this one, take care!

I read once that Taeil holding himself is actually him putting pressure on his diaphragm, idk how accurate that is for him but I know that doing that helps with breathing control.

Yoo Young Jin is the producer but he also sings the demo. He has a song with Taeyong called "Cure". You really should check it. Also, Mark and Taeyong were trained as rapper together, they even went to writing camp, so, they used to work together since long ago. Since Taeyong is older and is the leader, Mark looks up to him like a junior to his senior. Taeyong also played this role with Sungchan during NCT 2020. You should watch this video [N'-156] on NCT daily channel, you'll have a glimpse of "producer" Taeyong. Also, they practice a lot before recording with a coach, I guess. If I remember correctly, they talked about that in "kick it" uncut. For more Jaehyun and Yuta vocals, you should definitively watch "magic carpet ride" uncut.

Taeyong once said that when he is in the recording booth he is visualising the gestures that he will make on stage. It's definitely part of his process and everything that Tyong does from his voice to his movement is all about the character and performance he is creating in his mind. To me he is a Performer with a capital P because it's all connected. Each of them have a way of being in the studio and approaching their parts as well as how they will be on stage (SM trains them to make gestures during their parts based on Concept, what are they trying to communicate). Rapping and singing are just as rooted in the body as the dance.

SM is so smart to provide their quality uncut series because fans LOVE to feel like we are IN ON the creative process and even more so PART OF it. As a playwright in New Play Theatres one of the MOST popular things we ever did was our "open rehearsals" where audiences could watch a run through & comment after. Its actually kind of harrowing for many performers to LET people see their work in progress which just goes to show how clean & confident NCT127 technique is. As the plays writer I had a lot of splainin to do in those post play discussions but i made such important script changes from the involved feedback of those audiences

Yoo YoungJin is an SM singer, songwriter and main producer. He also has been a vocal coach for almost all of SM's Idols. He has produced or collaborated on a large majority of SM's songs. He is the one that is most often credited with coming up with the most iconic parts of SM's songs. For example, you will hear him if you listen to the studio recording of D.O.'s version of "(Tell Me) What is Love", which features Yoo YoungJin. He is also the one who does the ad libs and high notes in the background of Super Junior's "Sorry Sorry Answer" MV, and he is the one you hear harmonizing with Taeyeon in Girls' Generation's song "The Boys," etc. (Back in the day, his vocals and/or ad libs were used in a lot of SM's songs.) If you look up Yoo YoungJin, you would be surprised how many of SM's songs he has been involved in over the years, even still today. If you made a list, it would probably be easier to list the songs he didn't work on. LOL

The reason they say “like a stickah” instead of “like a sticker” is cause it sounds like they are saying “like a stick up”. Hence the cowboy/Wild Wild West theme of the video

Mr. Yoo is You Youngjin, who basically produced/wrote/composed pretty much all of SM's big iconic hits since H.O.T debuted in 1996. His discography in Wikipedia is ridiculously legendary. He's a certified legendary producer and it's his voice you hear in the demo track. People call D.O of EXO as "Yoo Youngjin's son" because his vocal style is pretty much the same and he was definitely trained to capitalize on it.

I watched other behind the scenes too but never as clean as NCT boys did. Clean I mean I can literally feel the development and flow of the song making in the video. I'm not a music expert, but this kind of videos taught me a lot about the other sides of things I never knew.

11:26 Singers do lip vibrations/lip trills/lip buzzes for breath control and tone balance. It also helps break up phlegm or mucus in your throat when you're sick, I've done it a couple of times and it comes up quicker than I thought it would lol.

One of the two intro versions that Taeyong said he prepared is "brrrr" you saw in the video, and the other is "sticker tagging x4...." that is not shown in the video. In conclusion, in the release, two intros were adopted as one came from the left speaker and the other came from the right speaker.

If you want to see how many layers they have in a song, i recommend you to watch 'uncut nct dream hello future recording behind the scene'. that video shows layers that nct dream recorded in a song. you can easily notice because they sang in different tone from the audio one. and there are some times they filmed the computer, so you will see all the layers of that part they were recording.

If you love watching recording behind-the-scenes, do checkout N.Flying! They're a band. They have a recording log of all the tracks on their first full album, Man on the Moon. Their leader, Seunghyub, wrote and produced almost all the songs on the album and he participated in directing the vocals. The members participated in directing some of the tracks as well. It is really nice to watch!!!
