what i know from being into kpop for so long is that you can never actually know your idol's real personality.. but if you want to try, your best bet is by paying attention to how the people around your idol talks about him or treat him. haechan gets so much love from everyone around him and yes, some of the members might act like haechan is annoying when he's with them, but the members always bring up haechan's name when he's not around, and they always only have praises for him. i don't want to put him on a pedestal, this is by no means me calling him perfect, no one is. but i can bet anything he's a good person inside out and i'll never regret supporting him as a fan

i think haechan is a very observant person (he probably developed it when he was learning all types of dances as a kid or just naturally born with it) that’s why he can instantly click with the other members. he also has his way of making them comfortable and he guides them you know? he has the tendency to step up and make the mood flow and lively again whenever its needed as seen in their videos. (ie. their recent 90’s love video: when they were talking about their body secret, sungchan was saying that he has a lip mole and haechan encouraged him to show it to the camera upclose (prolly to give him more screentime as well). mark then said that he has one too and checking it with jeno and ten (after haechan told him no, this was funny to be honest) so the focus kinda got divided? but haechan was putting in the effort of paying extra attention to sungchan and when sungchan looked at him (for affirmation?) he nods and gave him a thumbs up. and then proceeded to ask yangyang as well to have the focus on him and make the convo flow.) (you can really tell how important his role is while watching the whole video tbh) another example is when they had the reaction video for 90’s love. he made sure that sungchan (him being new), yangyang and winwin (for having less screentime in the mv, seriously SM, i thought were over this already?) got to talk. he does this as well in 127 & dream. it’s the little and subtle things he does for the members which makes him more lovable to be honest. so I am not surprised anymore if the members are whipped for him.

Like you can see dreamies loving/ showing affection to jisung, wayv to yangyang as they are the youngest but when it comes to 127, you rarely see them even accepting his love. Taeil accepts it but doesn't return it back like its alway haechan giving and giving and not receiving anything in return. I mean let's be real guys did we ever saw taeil clinging to haechan like he does to winwin. Being haechan stan, it really hurts when he wanted to be same age friends with mark and mark not wanting to (although mark might have his reasons) but still i know haechan is a prankster some might say a brat but cmon he has feelings he just might not show how must it makes him sad that he doesn't have a same age friend in 127.
