You don't have to like their songs. It's not a crime as long as you're respectful. Chill😂 Personally I'm in love with their brightest title songs like hello future, we go up and my first and last. Because of them I forgot I was obsessed with boom and ridin. Their title songs are great but it's not the main deal. The main thing is their bsides. They're like my therapy right now. Life is still going on, puzzle piece, rainbow, my youth, Beautiful time, drive, never goodbye... the list goes on. I will never shut up about them. I suggest you to listen their bsides as well. Because "Boom" came out in 2019 there were only 6 members in NCT-Dream. Mark had "graduated" from NCT-Dream and he was no longer included in NCT-Dream activities. However, Heechan, who also is a member of NCT-127, was just recovering from an injury, as well as promoting as a member of NCT-127 in the U.S. at this time, so he was only able to participate in part of the MV. That's why you only see all 6 of them at the end. In the beginning of the MV there was only 5 members, but by the end there are a few scenes with all 6 members. The whole point of "Boom" is to show how much the Dream members have grown and matured, etc. I always find it funny that Jisung, who is the maknae of NCT, is the member who is the tallest and the one with the deepest voice. "Boom" is where we see Jisung turn from a boy into a young man. So, when the group debuted, and currently, NCT-Dream was/is a 7 member group, but between 2018 until close to the end of 2020, you will see Dream with only 6 members. Even after SM announced the reintroduction of Mark back into the group, Dream had a few comebacks without Mark because he was busy promoting with NCT-127 and SuperM. You won't see Mark participating in NCT-Dream activities until their "Deja Vu" track video. (Mark is one of the busiest members of NCT because he participates in almost every project that NCT has ever done since pre-debut SMRookie Days, as well as several solo collaboration projects with other SM artists, and now as a member of SuperM. Some say Mark is SM's favorite NCT member.) NCT's overall concept is based on dreams, so everything they do has something to do with being in a dream, dreaming or some sort of dream state, etc. In "Glitch Mode" NCT- Dream is comparing falling in love to being stuck in a video game. (They use video game terms throughout the song.) Thoughts of that person that they have a crush on make them feel like they are stuck like a glitch in a malfunctioning video game, and they can't break free or move on because the glitch keeps them stuck there, which is why the choreography has them making those stuttering movements. And, the MV and live stages look like a video game or arcade, etc. because the whole concept is supposed to be video game themed. A video game is a sort of dream-like world, which is how it's tied into NCT's dream concept. You should check out NCT-Dream's dance practice videos for "Boom," "Ridin'" and "Glitch Mode." All of NCT's choreography is really fun.

DREAM actually is my favorite unit! I love their songs~ The vocals 🤍 It's just a matter of preference when it comes to music so it's understandable that we'll have our own favorite unit :)

NCT has some of the best vocalists in the industry in my opinion. My favorite from NCT are Taeil and Doyoung from NCT 127 and Xiaojun from WayV but they are all literally so incredible! Also yes that was Jaemin with the blue hair in that MV. I'm so glad you gave these a try! I knew you would like these better! Also fun fact... Felix is really really good friends with Chenle (the one with the black and pink hair in glitch mode that gave you goosebumps) who is in NCT Dream and Felix did a mini dance cover of Ridin in their practice room. Skz and NCT Dream have also done a few stages together! Felix and Chan recently went to Dreams concert in Seoul and Chenle shouted them out for coming.

In Ridin - “Is this Jaemin?” (About the blue haired guy) Yes! Yes it is. “This one’s my favourite!” That’s our maknae Jisung, maknae for not only the Dreamies but NCT as a whole, our baby Jisungie has 22 hyungs at the moment! The one with the same/similar jacket as Jimin is Jeno (also, he was the one with the pink hair in Glitch mode.) In Glitch Mode - “oh, he’s a cutie!” That’s Renjun. And the one whose vocals you were complementing in the bridge is Chenle (say Chun-luh). Renjun and Chenle are both Chinese, Mark (wearing the fuzzy green jacket in Glitch mode) is Canadian, and the other members are Korean. I dunno if you can read Hangul or not, but in case you can, the Hangul for Renjun is 런쥔 and the Hangul for Chenle is 천러.

Coz they’re all accurate , so I suppose my question is a bit redundant, isn’t it? 😁 PS - I think the reason why NCTzens wanted you to react to Chewing Gum was coz that’s SUCH a young song, it was their debut, Jisung was only 14, he was a foetus. It’s almost-but-not-really a culture shock when you compare it to the three MVs you watched in this video, the contrast is so big. Once you get properly get hooked into the newer stuff, you go back to CG and you go “OMG THEY’RE SO CUTE THEY’RE SO YOUNG 🥺🥺”. Especially Chenle and Jisung (Chenle is only a few months older than Jisung)

Perhaps I should've emphasized my comment/request from your NCT127 reaction, that if you're planning to react to NCT Dream check out Chewing Gum first only then IMMEDIATELY jump unto GO, RIDIN, BEATBOX, and GLITCH MODE next. It would've provided a more shocking surprise than what we got. But no matter, we move on from that and appreciate you taking the time to react to them again.
