this is probably a bit confusing if you don’t know all the members but theres many chinese, thai, japanese, and american members in nct. these are some of together joking because they always struggling with korean. the ones from america speak english when they want to but have to often try and translate for the other members who aren’t as well versed in korean aka chinaline for example

Since they often go on quiz shows, they get confused a lot and end up staying some words in each language they know. Others translate in whatever they know and eventually someone spits it out in korean.

Cantonese is another chinese language, mainly used in Hongkong. Mainland China mainly uses Mandarin.

A little list of explanation: In order of age, the members that had to learn Korean to communicate with the other members are Johnny: American Yuta: Japanese Kun: Chinese Ten: Thai Winwin: Chinese Lucas: Chinese (From Hong Kong First language Cantonese) Mark: Canadian Renjun: Chinese Chenle: Chinese The members at the time. So to get certain jokes like the quiz: They understood nothing bc they are all foreign members and didn't grow up in Korea, so some dnt know the bridges, but others didn't even know the word "Bridge." NCT is really a group with so many inside jokes, everything just becomes funnier the more you get to know them.

@@helmiqx he did. He learned korea when he was young hence why his Korean comapreed to Marks is a bit better since amek didn’t know Korean until coming to Korea in 2013 even then He didn’t know Korean and had to learn it and he still struggles to this day but it’s a lot better than before.

Lucas is from Hong Kong and the language that they speak there is Cantonese. Also more than half of NCT are not Korean so that’s why they struggle with the language. Many of them had to learn like 4 languages at once so it also makes them struggle more. Ten for example speaks Thai, English, Korean and Mandarin.

NCT has 12 foreign members: 1 Korean-Canadian member (Mark). He speaks English and Korean. 1 Korean-American member (Johnny). He speaks English and Korean. 1 Japanese member (Yuta). He speaks Japanese and Korean. 5 Chinese members (Kun, Renjun, Chenle, Xiaojun, WinWin, and Hendery). Kun, Chenle, Renjun, and WinWin speak Chinese (Mandarin) and Korean. Xiaojun speaks Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese) and Korean. Hendery speaks Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), English, and Korean. Ten is Thai and ethnically Chinese. He speaks 4 languages: Thai, Korean, English, and Chinese (Mandarin). Lucas is half Chinese and half Thai. He also speaks 4 languages: Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Thai, Korean, and English. YangYang was born in Taiwan, is ethnically Chinese, and lived in Germany. He speaks 4 languages also: German, Chinese (Mandarin), English, and Korean. Because they're not Korean or born and raised in South Korea they tend to have trouble with the language. They tend to misunderstand, not understand, and mispronounce certain phrases and words. They don't always get slang. They don't always know how to say certain things and have a hard time reading Korean. They tend to struggle in the word games too. It's funny and adorable but they all try really hard to learn and get it right. Fun fact: Jaemin and Jaehyun can speak Korean and English (they aren't foreigners though). NCT is a multilingual mess and I love them.

some constructive criticism here: y'all should have a solid background of the members before watching these types of videos. that way the video is more enjoyable for you, and it can produce a better reaction video for us to watch. otherwise it feels like you're forcing yourself to enjoy it.

I agree I feel like they don't enjoy it as much because they don't know the members and their backgrounds. They have to start looking up stuff and watching guides so they can get the NCT jokes and its not easy cause there are 21 members which makes it confusing for them to watch these types of videos. They won't find it as funny as we do and it makes it less enjoyable for us.

They have but they watch a really bad guide so they couldn’t get all the facts down. I would recommend for them to watch a sub part guide to Nct or maybe a sub part guide to the specific units the only downside is that they’re like 40 minutes long 😂

The only thing that helped me the most learning their names was when they all went on weekly idol but that was also before wayv was formed officially but I agree. And they should do it on their own time tbh, not as a reaction. They get so distracted by things and don’t seem to remember much while on camera. I could be wrong just seems that way. I think it’ll be more helpful to watch things about each member on their own off camera.

You guys should react to NCT Daily: a cup of coffee part two please it’s so funny!!! It was from when they were in Thailand and they went to a restaurant, it’s kind of them trying to “role-play” sort of lol!! Plus A lot of it is in English and has English jokes so it’s really easy to understand(plus I think it has subtitles for the parts that aren’t in English)!! You guys really need to know more about the group and the members to fully enjoy these videos. I wish you would watch more guides/do some research on groups that you have reacted to several times and that are highly requested. It doesn't take that much time. Trust me. I memorized all of The Boyz members in a day about a week ago and now I am all in (Haknyeon owns my heart now). Please put some effort into at least knowing the basics about groups you have reacted to multiple times. If I can whole-heartedly stan over 20 groups, you shouldn't have a problem with this. In Mainland China, the main languge spoken is Mandarin. In Hong Kong it's Cantonese. Chinese isn't actually one languge but more of a group of East Asian Languages, which include Mandarin, Cantonese & more

A lot of NCT foreign line knows English fluently. Mark is from Canada, Johnny is from Chicago, Jaehyun lived and learned English in the US, Ten is Thai and in Thailand they speak English as well so he knows English, the others are China line and Yuta is Japanese. JOHNNY knows the most Korean for an English speaker which is why he usually translates and Jaehyun is full Korean and was born in Korea so sometimes he struggles with English but knows
