And I love how he so easily lets out the sadness, doesn't suppress it, let it exist. It fits the healthy joy he radiates. Really fits the 15th after the 14th was able to "retire" the Doctor and process all the things he didn't let himself experience in order to keep going and putting out fires. Feels like the 15th is born from working through those emotions.

Moffat Christmas special? CHECK Season 2 mostly having guest writers/more than season 1? MASSIVE CHECK I like RTD for his ideas and inclusion of more grounded elements, but I'm soooo glad he's not going to make up 75% of the season's writing this time round. He's definitely not fit for a majority take of Doctor Who's writing anymore. Sure, keep him in the driver's seat but give the directions to a bunch of other people. RTD2 needs way more backseat drivers and I hope season 2 is better for it
