NCW 2 ZIPPER POCKET INTRODUCTION Jean Jelly Roll Queen

In this tutorial, based on Janelle MacKay's NCW wallet, I show the cutting and sewing techniques for making a 2 zipper center pocket, using a split fabric piece for the back, making sewing the zippers in and topstitching very easy. Can also be used for making the zipper section from directional fabric.

Cindy Pridgen, no it is my old trusty Singer S-16. Aka Janome 1600. It has the same footprint as the Janome 1600 and the 6300, 6500 and 6600. Fits in the Janome table that comes with three different plastic fillers. I traded my Janome 7700 several years ago, now. Janome 15000 uses that table, although it is too fat to fit down in the machine well. My son made me a top for the embroidery machine, no machine well because of the embroidery arm. But I use my Singer S-16 for almost all of my regular sewing.

Alice Jette, it is a Janone table. Awesome but expensive. It comes with several insets for different machines. I got one free with my Janome 7700 but had to buy this one. $599 on Amazon. Worth every penny!

I'm making my first wallet. I'd really like to do the double zipper with the velcro closure. do you cut the zipper the same length of the 8" wide part or do you make it a tad shorter on both ends.?

I'm having issues with bulk when inserting only ONE zipper. your thoughts? I thought you had done a video on cutting down the bulk, but can't find it.
