I’ve now made over 85 of these but had a couple year break in between my last 2 wallets & all the rest. I got burnt out on making them, but now am back to it. Thank you so much for these videos. I was able to refresh myself on how they’re made & finally made one just for myself! Thank you so much for these beautiful, well organized instructions with the best hacks for the NCW.

Hi. I commented a month ago that this series was amazing. Today I just finished my first NCW and I am even more thankful for this series of videos. I don't think I could have completed this without your help. (Or if I did, it would have been accompanied by a lot of tears and ripped out stitches.) Thank you again!

Hi Sian. Love, love your tutorials. Love your mum’s smile, and your dads humour, and you are so pretty. I have spent a lot of hours watching, what I see as a happy house hold. Keep up the good work. I’ve not been dressmaking for a number of years but watching You I have been sorting out my fabrics, and will get back to it again. I’m 73 years old so know rather then later would be a good idea. Thank You

When I made this my machine didn’t like sewing thru all the fabric and I did not have a rivet tool so I applied permanent fabric glue on the sides and clamped it along the sides and let it dry. So far so good I have used it about three weeks now and have not had any problems with it coming apart.

I have watched the NCW playlist & find it extremely helpful. I am at the point where I am attaching the zipper pockets. I actually purchased a Singer HD6380 machine in order to sew through many layers. However, I have broken 2 needles while trying to sew the zipper pockets to the wallet. I am using a jeans needle. This machine has performed quite well up to this point. Do you have any suggestions? Thank you.
@KittenishBehaviourSian3 жыл бұрын
do you mean attaching the zipper pocket with the 1" box to the bottom of the wallet or sewing the zipper pockets to the "wings" of the purse to completely finish it? If it's the latter then I don't even try anymore, my machine will do it but it's tough and can look messy. I use rivets to secure it in place. If it's the former problem I've heard whacking the project with a hammer to help flatten everything out can work but I've not tried it as my machine will sew that part without a problem so I've not had to improvise. I hope that helps 😊

Hi Sian.. I’m addicted to ur videos n now the ncw.. just the print off n prep today.. fancy the rivet idea but thinking I’ll try hammering or my KAM press first.. what size double cap rivets did you use? 6mm? 7mm? I didn’t make a note soz... xxx Jan xxx
@KittenishBehaviourSian6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jan 😊 so glad you're enjoying the channel. I use 7mm rivets for my new's but slightly bigger or smaller will work too I just use 7mm as that is the press tool I happen to have 😊
@eleanorfitzsimmons20406 жыл бұрын
I actually think I could do this now. One FYI, if worried about zipper pockets slipping since you can't pin, you could use 1/4 inch double sided tape on the edge of the opening underneath.
@cindychristie63145 жыл бұрын
Can you use Chicago screws instead of rivets and what size, thanks. Will probably have a go at sewing the sides first and see how i go as i don't have a rivet press! I did note you said 7mm or 9 mm is that the same for Chicago screws!
