⚡⚡⚡What other accessories are important to have for a Mavic 2 Pro or other drone? Let us know! Also DJI Technical Support replied to our inquiry and it turns out the DJI filters are Not multicoated. This could explain the findings in the video.

I find it amazing that DJI made it so difficult to find out how to take off the lens protector and install ND filters. Crazy that it’s buried so deeply into their written manual. I was out in the field shooting job about two days after I received my Mavic 2 pro and I could not figure out how to get the original lens protector off! Thank goodness I could make adjustments to the aperture and finish the job.

Steve Martin yea taking off the UV filter the first time is always a bit interesting. For those yet to do this: push the filter slightly against the camera while supporting the camera with ur other hand. Then slightly twist counter-clockwise and the filter will pop out of its groove after 1/8 of a turn about. Then pull filter straight away from camera.

Your video is very detailed. I have been doing photography for over 30 years and never had much use for filters. For drone photography it is totally different. I find in some videos DJI has better colours, the price is very good compared to other brands. If you go to PYG Teck accessories there is a range of filters and packages. My confusion is which filter for what and when

Hey Allen, thanks for watching another video and taking the time to comment. ND filters are pretty useful for photography, but they are critical for video. It takes some practice but you can get a hang of choosing the filter for the lighting conditions. There's even apps which let you plug in Shutter Speed, Aperture and ISO into an app and then itll tell you which filter to put on the camera for 180 degree shutter rule etc.

Another great video thanks. More detailed and informative than others I’ve seen. Having looked at this I think I am going to order a couple single ND Filters in the next few weeks. I don’t think I need a large set for my useage case as I have mainly shot with ND 32 previously on my variable, but I do see the advantages again of ND filters for drone photography still and not just video. Thanks mate

Quadcopterguide I will do mate. Been droneless the last week and half as I sent my MP2 away with a gimbal issue. It’s taking a long while, but when it’s back here I’m going to have a look at the ND filters again. Think I’ll probably just go with an ND16 or 32. As I do have a better idea though I’ll be coming back to rewatch your videos so if I can go through your links I will do 😜

I now I'm late to this video, but I have a dumb question. While I understand motion blur and doubling the frame rate, I don't fully understand why this is important from the sky? The images are so far and no one will see the difference right? Just wondering why people invest in ND filters when you're a hundred feet away from the subject. If anything, the sharp moving images are better from far. Motion blur is not beneficial if the subject is small. Just my 2 cents. I know I'm wrong, just not sure why. lol. Thanks for another video Felix!

Hey Joe no worries. This is one of my popular videos even all this time later. Motion Blur is noticeable even on wide angle shots. Think of a forrest in the foreground-background as a drone is filming a sunset. With motion blur you will get a more filmic look.

loving your videos, very technical but simple delivery. I haven't yet ventured into ND filters yet but I have got a set of NiSi ND's. I bought as a stepping stone into using filters as they are well priced and have good reviews. I am wondering if you have any experience with these filters and any tips for using them. Also curious to what brought you to Germany.

how can nd filter make that big colour shift? this is not ok.
@Quadcopterguide
@Quadcopterguide 5 жыл бұрын
Hi izoyt. In an ideal world we could purchase ND filters in this price-range and get truly 0 color shift. For normal cameras with standard filter sizes, ND filters can get into the $400-$500 for just one filter. I don't have the budget to test these kinds of filters, but i assume and hope that they offer less or at that price NO color shift :D. What filters do you use currently?
@izoyt
@izoyt 5 жыл бұрын
@@Quadcopterguide for drone none of the filters yet, but i did have plan buying them. in photography, i did use polariser and nd filters and as i remember none of them have that big color shift (and they weren't in 400-500$ range).

@@izoyt I've got a set of the higher-end Polar Pro's on the way to me. Will do a video on them in a bit, might be of interest to you. Feel free to subscribe so you don't miss that when it comes. I think part of the issue in that test of mine was the way the light reflected off the paper. The highlighted shift appeared exactly where the lights reflected. If that's what you mean regarding the color shift. What accessories have you gotten so far for your Mavic 2 Pro?
