Mwas Wa Jane, originally from Kiambogo in Nyeri County, faced early setbacks in his education due to school fees challenges, leading him to discontinue his studies after just one term of Form One. To make ends meet, he took up a job as a 'shamba boy' in Nyahururu, where he earned a monthly wage of Ksh 4,000, sustaining this work for a year.
Throughout his time as a farmhand, he continued to nurture his passion for music, recording songs with his phone and sharing them with his cousins. Encouraged by their positive response, they suggested that he should move to Nairobi to explore opportunities in the music industry.
