Thanks for the compliments. Our army was known as the Royal West African Frontier Force till the 50s and then the Queen’s Own Nigerian Regiment till about 1960. That explains the British influence.

Theolhilus Olayinka Oremodu This parade is so sloppy and disorganised. Absolutely thrash compared to the grand splendour and great spectacle of the British Trooping the colour. Abt time new academies are established in other parts of the country & admission open to ALL Nigerians. All 3 branches shouldn't be in the north. The cadets shd have different uniforms representing their branch. A lot of structuring needed in that country.

I love the formation but the cameraman needs to better his focal point. By this i mean focus on the key people and be predictive. Know the commanders and the personnel will help us make remarks in our judgement and ratings. I am learning and enjoy alot watching on your military formation on parades; it speaks a lot about discipline and accuracy in command and response as well as policy doctrine. Very good parade but the order of protocols has to be adjusted that is all ranking officers should be seated before the arrival of his Excellency the should be formed up in open order with bayonets fixed and awaits the inspection by his Excellency he will be escorted by the Cheif Of Staff , Parade Commander it must be noted that if they are cadets the sword must carried in the scaboured until they are declared Officers by his Excellency

Why does the Nigeran Defence Academy Passing out parade look similar to the Indian Miltary Academy's Passing Out Parade?? The heel digging, the Hand Swing; sure it's a British Drill, but the Indian Army pattern is very visible.
