Yes, back when singers could actually sing. No auto tune. Nowadays they ALL use auto tune and when you search for famous rappers and pop singers and what they sound like in the studio without or before auto tune is applied, it’s frightening. And pathetic that it’s all just an image based on looks and how big their presentations can get. Watch Celine Dion sing an entire concert for nearly two hours, no auto tune and just her on stage, usually. Now that’s singing. Same with Barbra Streisand.
