He will try a stupid flick somewhere or try to take someone one on one and create problems for Skippy or hoijberg, where they are forced to concede a yellow.

With skippy protecting the back line, and hoijberg doing the dirty work beside him, ndombele is just a joy to watch. Megging people for fun, the composure he has on the ball and the willingness to drive forward. This guy is an absolute baller. We spurs fans have been patient with him, it's time he rewards us by dominating the midfield. Lucas you were outstanding as usual. Lucky to have a player so committed to the club. No doubt about that. Having two defensive midfielders behind him really benefits his talents. I'm glad he's starting games now and playing well. That whole system with Dele playing deep in midfield was bound to fail, Dele just doesn't offer what Ndombele does. Playing Ndombele as a CAM with Hojbjerg and Skipp behind him seems like the perfect midfield combination.

He is unreal, the things he does with the ball is just in another level Reminds me of the magic Ronaldinho had when playing football What I also love is how much ground he covered, he had I believe the highest average speed of any Spurs player and he was up and down the pitch all game Loved his aggression and tracking back It seems Nuno wanted him to improve his fitness and the #10 role suits him perfectly What’s also key is with Tanguy playing there it frees up Kane to do drop deep or make runs in behind. Same with Son and Lucas as Tanguy attracts so many players and he’s so good at dribbling and receiving the ball under pressure it makes space for the other attackers I just hope we can see it on a consistent basis

I would have waited until the season mid-point to assess his game play. As another viewer commented, he goes missing in games and is far too inconsistent, hence he doesn't always start. There's no doubt he has skill, if not always the application.
