Sonu Nigam is undoubtedly great and really humble too. However I didn’t find that comment on specialised ghazal or classical singers as safe players in good taste. The singers like Jagjit Singh, Talat Mahmood and Mehdi Hassan were giants of music and they really went very deep in the kind of music they indulged in. You see, Ustad Bismillah Khan played just one instrument- Shehnai but how many Bollywood singers can match the status of this Bharat Ratna musician ? I believe that one artist should never run another artist down.
