I think fair decision to get the auto since going back to get the car will take time and waking up someone at 3 am will also take time for them to really wake up and be ready to drive. The sad reality of modern living is neighbors do not know their neighbors and are the first to close their doors at night. Even then, I think getting an auto was the best choice as waking up anyone from sleep will take time for them to get the car ready.
