Not fair to blame Chappell for 2007 World Cup debacle: Gavaskar

Sachin Tendulkar, in his autobiography, writes that former India coach Greg Chappell did not respect then captain Rahul Dravid. Sunil Gavaskar however tells NDTV that only the players in that team can comment on the matter and that to blame Chappell as coach for India's debacle in 2007 World Cup won't be fair.

Being captain is not just about staying as wining skipper, it's how captain gonna manage the team and The Wall failed in it. Had Sachin and Dravid stood by Sourav while Sourav was targeted by Chappell, Indian team performance would have been far better at 2007 WC!!! They all let one man down to make sure they are safe!!!
