A hearty welcome to the new Defence Minister and a wise decision indeed taken by the Prime Minister! Smt. Nirmala Sitaraman has proved herself a highly talented person as Commerce Minister in many ways. She will definitely continue to perform so also in her new role as Defence Minister of the country. Though she has a huge plateful of issues to be dealt with in the new Ministry, it is inappropriate to expect her to find solutions to all problems narrated in this report. Hopefully, there will not arise anymore clashes with the two neighboring adversaries - Pakistan and China! Equally, she can anticipate political adversaries from within who may create a certain amount of headaches for her. The unresolved Kashmir issue is likely to figure as a continuing perennial problem and a solution ought to be struck without undue delay. At the end of the day, one can indeed be certain of Smt. What you guys talking about? Let’s focus on the third most powerful appointment in Indian Government. Congratulations to Hon’ble Defense minister of India who’ll assist both President and Prime Minister of India in all defense decisions. Let us all pray together for not only Indian fighters (Army, Police forces at borders) alive but also for all those Hindustani fighters since at least last 4 millennia who strived to preserve what Hindustan stands for…..Once again I beg, Let us all (including women & LGBT) pray together and introspect if we are brave like them, if we would stand with them when they need us most just as we need them now! Because of the brave Indian warriors, we could grow up in India with freedom, liberty, peace and prosperity receiving best education, entertainments, food and health. If not for them, probably all Indians would have been caught in civil wars, transgressions, religious suppression, colonialism, slavery, women trafficking etc. Let us all pray together and humbly introspect if we are brave like them, if we would stand with them when they need us most just as we need them now! I challenge Indian women too who are taking pride in the fact that a woman has become defense minister of India to also humbly introspect if they are brave like those men soldiers, if they would stand with them when those soldiers need them most just as they need those soldiers right at the borders now! Just asking, 1. how many Indian women in politics (and news reporting) feed, bathe and clothe disabled Indian soldiers? 1. How difficult is it to double/triple the number of women in combat roles of Indian army, navy and air-force? 2. How many Indian women soldiers can shave their heads like men? 3. How difficult is it for Indian women in army to use the same restrooms as men and take showers in same locker rooms as men? 4. Without crying, how many Indian women soldiers can take verbal abuse in front of others during a training? 5. How many Indian women soldiers won’t cry after being raped by enemies in their lockups? 6. How many Indian women soldiers can fight a war for 60 days at the frontiers without tampons? 7. Can the daring Defense Minister of India beat a captured naked enemy soldier with a hockey stick until blood oozes out or swellings become visible on his face and body? At least, can she butcher a tied goat with a sword every week? Or at least a live chicken a day? If the wives, the mothers and the daughters of dead army soldiers can do that, she must also be able to do the same. I apologize to you and everybody else for expressing anything inconvenient, incorrect and wrong due to limitations in my time, my understandings and this comment space. I am not a law-maker (politician), lawyer, police, judge, religious preacher, researcher, World bank/IMF executive, UNO Expert, PETAnewala, IFS/IAS/IPS officer, defense strategist, diplomat, a Nobel-Prize winning professor, business magnet, Star Celebrity, Super Sportsman/woman, IT Slave Trader(IT Consulting Corporation), IT Slave Warden(IT Manager), JNU professor, 5-star NGO or a media professional. Since I am still an Indian Citizen unfortunately, I wholeheartedly felt it is my duty as a human being to write here based on my life’s experiences and research before I lose high-tech communication due to my disabilities and subsequent poverty, and then probably may even die sooner (guessing within 2 years) due to you know what and you know who since last 70 years. It is time for Indian Youth (especially those 65 pratishath below 35 years old which includes women & LGBT) to wake up and not just watch Indian Army personnel and their families suffer for generations. The suffering is so much, so bad and their confidence so degraded that the children of Army personnel are giving up their Indian citizenship working abroad or marrying abroad as if there are no men/mard left among Indian Citizens. It is a shame and disgrace to Mother India. Hence, hope Indian Citizens (especially those less than 35 years old) get involved (directly/indirectly) to support Indian fighters (on land, seas and air), work/cooperate with them, uplift and protect them and if health permits even strive to join & excel in Indian Army, BSF, CRPF, Navy, Air Force etc. JAI JAWAN! JAI KISSAN! JAI VIGYAN! MAZDOOR MAHAN! JAAGO NOWJAWAN! Let us all pray together for resources, strength, wisdom and guidance to accelerate progress, peace, harmony and prosperity among peoples of all Asian/African nations(including India) similar to European Union or other Nations of European Settlers. Let us all pray to Almighty and wish these nations(including India) encourage modern industries, universities and technologies in all fields including agriculture (which includes fisheries), tourism, industrial projects, internet systems, defense equipment, transportation systems (bus, train, inland waterways etc.) similar to European Union or Nations of European Settlers. For further research, let us pray to Holy Ones of all religions and beg together that all privileged (political leaders (in position, opposition), business magnets, political pundits/mullahs/fatheries/rabbis, star celebrities, and yourself if possible) to travel around India and elsewhere around the world. Let us pray together and wish they not only enjoy their trips, take pictures/videos, opening bank accounts, teaching/learning/blaming religions and “experience foods, nature, imaraten/buildings/towers, shopping foreign mall, finding/giving/getting spouses, honey-moon, enjoying music, wine, dance, night-life, and cultures” but also advise/teach their fellow human-beings their experiences/wisdom (old & new) for progress, peace, harmony and prosperity of not only entire world but also of India. (Given a chance, like you, they are also keen, highly adaptive and always refine themselves!) Progress and Prosperity Always...Where there is no progress and prosperity there is no Peace or there is no Love...Education, Entrepreneurship, Electricity, Connectivity and social modernization must be facilitated/encouraged especially in all poorer regions and poorer sections/communities of India. The poor must be encouraged to take up jobs or do businesses in Non-farming professions (with a delay/ban on mining as much as possible to protect their habitats/regions/cities/rivers/seas). Connectivity includes Modern Communication Systems like Satellite, Mobile phones, internet etc. besides print news media, roads, water-ways and railways. Education is not just being literate in English Language, marrying a foreigner or taking up a different religion but an overall Education aimed at building one’s own character, families, communities, cities/towns/villages and if given a chance the entire nation. If a Tea-Seller could become Prime Minister of India then why not a girl-child of poor farm-less laborers? BETI BACHAO! BETI PADHAO! BETI JAGAO! The Congress spokesperson shows how foolish he is. Criticizing for the sake is the only thing they can do and get satisfaction. The party is a non entity in the country right now, and hopefully will be for many, many years. His comments are just to say, sour grapes. Secondly, if Indira Gandhi a lady could be a Prime Minister of the country and gain respect, why should Dr. Sitharaman not aspire for the same. As General Shanker Choudhary pointed out, the only thing that matters is delivery and ensure ease of workings of the men in uniform. If she is able to do that, which I am sure she will, she will be a star Defense Minister. To the Congress spokesperson, may I ask him what his party's Defense Minister, Mr Anthony did besides dovetailing to the wishes of the Italian lady?
