@@robbubba8020 What's the best baits to throw in Florida right now? I'm in central Florida and the most I've been able to pull off this spring has been a 4 pounder on a wacky rig. What areas of a lake should I target too right now?
@robbubba80209 ай бұрын
@Connor-zb4uo if the bass are bedding where you are that wacky worm is a good choice... I'm no pro but I always start out with a smaller profile bait in the spring time I feel the bait hasn't grown very much yet so something in the 3 inch range is good in soft plastics or a Zara Spook Jr or a small crank bait then as we get into summer I'll start using bigger lures I like that Spook Jr in the baby bass color they really seem to like it I hope this info helps you good luck out there!

Sometimes it’s not about the fish you catch but the experience. This lake is beautiful. Zero traffic noise, zero other anglers. It’s almost like you had it all to yourself your own personal paradise. After looking at those fish, it makes you want to go out on that lake and spread out a couple of thousand shad to beef them up a bit.
@joegrande48489 ай бұрын
Indeed, Id breed some crayfish and shad. Let them get up to 10,000. 10,000 shad, 10,000 crayfish, then drop them in the lake.

I recently got back into the game, kids wanted to fish with the other kids when we camp. They AWOKE THE BEAST! I LOVE LM BASS FISHING!!! Didn't realize how far all the tackle and gear has come, nor that Zebco is not what it USED to be 😢 I LOVE every opportunity I can get to take my daughter fishing with me! She's taken to it more than my younger son has and she's HOOKED! Hoping to get her first bass VERY SOON! She grasped the spinning reel in 3 casts and just missed setting the hook in 3 good ones! ❤❤❤❤

That spot at 7:25 reminds me of a lake that I fish pretty often up here in the pnw. What I've noticed about heavily matted lilypads like that is that the fish are right under the pads feeding. If you hear popping noises from under the lilypads, they're eating and chasing little bluegills n such around. I usually paddle right into the thickness of it and work a frog across the top or pitch a lighter texas rig right into little openings. Seems to work pretty well.

Frogs aren't always the most productive means of catching bass, but it's certainly among the most fun. I prefer drop shotting a live-bait rig. That's my personal fav. But pitching frogs near or over weeds and pads is always a hoot. I've only caught a handful of 20"+ bass (maybe 6 largies and 2 smallies that size), and at least three of those were on frogs. Great vid, glad you saw so many fish.

It’s a fun way to catch some fish! One thing I usually do is bend the hooks out a bit, it helps with my hookup ratio. I don’t think I had to do it with the Northland frogs but most brands I’ll bend them. I just like there to be a little bit of gap, 1-2mm, between the hook point and the frog body.
