I appreciate the yakangler’s videos because he doesn’t do any BS challenges for views and likes. Man just has a true passion for fishing and always produces quality content.

But he fishes with ducks, rats, birds, snakes, weird looking baits like the gnome frog, etc. And I don’t blame him because you have to be creative to stay popular on this platform. I just think you’re being a hypocrite because he is doing the same thing as those other people and in some videos he considers certain lures CHALLENGES to catch a fish on. I don’t blame anyone for being a little clickbaity or doing challenges, cause guess what? IT WORKS and those people stay relevant. I am being a huge critic, but you’re just completely wrong in your statement. Every big KZbinr does stuff for views and likes, and just about every fishing KZbinr has a passion for it. I would’ve respected if you said this guy is more genuine (I think he is) than most KZbinrs or how he wasn’t as obnoxious as other fishing KZbinrs which is true. But those are somewhat subjective things which are perfectly fine to criticize, but you are saying this guy doesn’t clickbait or do challenges which he 100% does and the only reason you think that is because you are blinded by the fact he is genuine and look past that. I don’t know why I go on these rants and it may make me look dumb but its more of just a brain exercise than anything, and I have no life.

Matt love your channel. Just a gentle psa that because you fish so much warm water(anything over 45F for big Pike and Muskie is warm) try for faster fights and quicker releases. And anything over 30” is more than likely a female so get those back the quickest. Keep up the great work. Be safe

Couple of nice fish here, just can't help thinking the Freddy the Frog lure would got you a few more, that is one amazing Lure. Chris.
@ndyakangler7 ай бұрын
I actually went back and tried Freddy yesterday and got skunked. I did have two follow it and not go for the figure eight, but had two others swipe at Freddy a lot like the first fish hit here and I missed them. I was a little afraid of that, they seem to grab the back half of lures this time of year when they hit the top. I did notice Freddy had a spot where I could move the treble to the back segment of his body so I’ll definitely be doing that if I try him out there again. I think next time I’m going with the bird lure though. It makes a lot of noise and with the treble on the very back it’s almost impossible to not get hooks in fish when they hit.
