Pro tip...drill a small hole on top of the main body of the bait and inject spray foam till it's full. Then use baking soda and super glue to seal the hole up. It will remain buoyant for the life of the lure.
@stevenmadden3162 жыл бұрын
Big plopper user here, you able to tell what size/type of drill bit you are using? As Matt stated in vid, they aren't cheap...I have some colors that are extremely hard to find and don't wanna ruin the lure.. thinking titanium pointed but they can cause distruction just like a Harbor Freight special..thanks!!
@Allwayzfishin2 жыл бұрын
@@stevenmadden316 just use any new sharp bit for wood. Your drilling into plastic, not metal or cement lol. Just make sure you use a bit diameter large enough to accept the application tube of the spray foam can.

@williamfriggle2 жыл бұрын
I'm glad you mentioned about the 90-size whopper plopper not starting right away. I thought maybe it was just the one I got. It was my first whopper plopper. Well, technically the Walmart version you tried was my first. Never used it much. I will say I have caught more fish on my Loon Whopper Plopper than any other lure. Almost combined. I have caught the Whopper Plopper bug. I now have 5 others and 2 Berkley Choppos. One is the Beaver you used a few videos back. I had to have one and hunted one down on eBay. Also got the wake Bucktooth Beaver version. I hope River2Seas fixes that 90 size. It is my preferred size. And I think the different sound of its plopper is more effective. Sometimes I think the others have too much. But we wouldn't think that by your videos. I don't have fishing around me like you do. I have tried my other Whopper Ploppers and have only caught one on a 75 Loon. I also have bluegill and perch in the 75 and 110 sizes. Nothing on them yet. The waters I fish are almost always dirty. Maybe that is why. The black is easier for them to see. Anyways, thanks for the great videos. I can never get enough of them.

Of the 60, 75, 90, 110, & 130, I prefer the 75 and 110 over the rest when fishin for LMB/SMB because they both have a tighter plop over the others, you can see it between the body and the tail in comparison. Another great video of you proving you can fish with almost any type of lure. Also, I recommend tying direct with flouro leader is best for most lures, avoid use of split rings unless attaching to a steel leader with a quick clip or something similar. Split rings can fray your line, causing the line to break with the loss of your lure and the fish.
