I've had other BPM baits kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

@@coursing_thru_life Right? Sometimes all it takes is a little colour or size switch and then sending out the exact same rig to start getting bites. I try to grab all natural colours and never the same weight if I already have a lure that works similarly. Feel like I have a very diverse tacklebox. The fish tell us what they want! Just because they said they wanted to smash anything in the water one hour, doesn’t mean that’ll be the case the next!

The backseat fisherman in me is yelling, "You gotta let the fish take it before you set the hook!"
@ndyakangler Жыл бұрын
I always go with a quick hookset fishing topwater, especially with hard lures that the fish will be quick to spit out. Even with the hollow body frog though I set the hook instantly and I rarely miss when a decent size bass hits it, and I’ll often have to dig the lure out of the back of their mouth. That tells me when bass hit topwater they inhale their target. I think the wait to set the hook thing comes from the way bass hit a craw by hitting it to stun it first before eating it. I’ve seen plenty of clips like that and I think a lot of others have too, and many are quick to assume that’s the way they eat everything. I think the bass are smart enough to realize craws will give them trouble if they try to swallow them alive and they eat them different than something like a frog that’s completely harmless to gulp down still kicking.
@edh_alters7116 Жыл бұрын
