Lookie there,no jet skis,no idiots blasting through in their overpowered motor boats. It's just you, in your kayak, listening to the birds chirping and making more memories for yourself and us. May your line remain wet, your rod bent, and your net always dipping.

So well said ,dude I went to a new spot last weekend and I had to yell at three different boats for driving way to close to the bank and our lines WAY TO FAST .I felt like a dam Karen and I ususally don’t care about that as long as they give us our space. But that was insane .I even told the rangers like dude do I people have anyone on the water.I saw numerous violations and could tell most were drinking and driving heavily.Ruined the trip with the kids big time .Anyways that place is off my list and it’s to bad cause it was a great looking place

Matt you said "..one of my favorite lakes for big bass." As you said that I thought man this looks a lot like "grandpa's lake"-one which has lots of big bass as we've seen in previous videos. If it's not I'm kinda glad because now we have another big bass lake for future videos. 👍 Another epic day of great fish! God bless.

This is that same lake. I have a list of new lakes to try once the bass get more into summer mode. This time of year we get maybe one or two days a week where the wind isn’t blowing too so with limited time to get out I’ll mostly fish familiar spots.

5" Senko are my absolute favorite bass lure. I fish them exclusively weightless wacky rig and I use them on the DROP. Rather than jigging them across the water which has never yielded consistent results for me, I just let them fall to the bottom, retrieve and repeat. As they fall in the water they have perfect, subtle action to them that just knock bass out and they cant take it. All you will see is your line give a quick "tick" across the waters surface and you know you're hooked up. This is also a perfect way to locate fish and determine depth all at the same time.

The Yum Dinger in the Mardi Gras color has been my best bait this spring. It looks almost identical to that watermelon gold, a little darker green. Caught my PB at 21 3/4", in addition to dozens of smaller bass. The yum worms are great for the money, they last as long as a Yama Senko but are half the price. Ive been casting it weightless on an EWG hook with my Curado K on an Edge Delta 744.
