Love this channel! TacticalBassin and NDY are my favs. My son's cousin uses these kind of huge baits.... but rats. Hard for me to look at them!!! But man does he catch some huge bass. Even when he comes to fish at my place in the Adirondacks. Didn't know bass grew that big here until he showed up. Teaches me a lot. He is trying to make a channel of his own. Learning the ropes and at the very least you can watch him catch some big ones. kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJ6ZqHqGermkh9k

I've had other BPM baits kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 before and they've pretty much always came through for me with the suskie smallies here and even with the walleye and pike, but I realized I didn't have an "in-between" pattern so this junebug one fills that role in no problem. it pairs up magnificently with a junebug Zoom Z-craw Jr that was trimmed a couple millimeters before the hook slots and rigged sideways for that fatter panfish side profile while still being a nice'n'compact presentation, a real power-finesse bait. Hell, it was so pretty I even bothered to fotosketch the pic into a watercolor painting image just to show you it's beauty! Even the blades are really well made, sure, they're not of Hildebrandt-level exquisiteness but look at the bead's reflection on the colorado blade, definitely well-made! The only "problem" spot it had was a bald spot in the skirt but it was nothing that I couldn't easily fix with a but of tuggin'n'shiftin' with the strands for a couple of seconds, besides that it is pretty minty!

Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, kzbin.infoUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

Biggest bass I ever caught on the best lure: fly-fishing at sunset in late spring, wading on the edge of a 20-foot drop-off, spawning bass circling the edge of the drop-off. Brought-in a small blue-gill on the fly-line, dangled it in front of the bass, brought the bass in without the bass ever even being hooked. Pulled the blue-gill out of the bass' mouth, weighed the bass, and threw them both back. That was 25 years ago, but I like to imagine she's still circling that drop-off, waiting for small blue-gill. And no, I'm not gonna say what she weighed.
