That fits perfectly, Michelle. You're the exact opposite, being an Ne dom. Such structure causes you stress, but brings calmness to the Si dom.
@heatherbryant41975 жыл бұрын
IME high Si people need structure because it creates a semblance of predictability. We know better that chaos could strike at any moment and it's important to be adaptable, and too much structure feels limiting. But to SJs, when you take away that feeling of control and predictability, it induces fear of the unknown, which often means major anxiety. Predictable = safe = calm. I actually believe this is supported by physiological differences in high Si people, like increased responsiveness of the autonomic nervous system, leading to hightened levels of cortisol & epinephrine in chaotic situations and increased sensitivity of the sympathetic & parasympathetic nervous system, so that when an SJ finds themselves in a scary situation full of unknowns, their heart races even faster and their body reacts more strongly. It would take some research to find out whether this is true or not, but it makes sense to me. And it explains why they're so risk-averse and in tune with internal sensations.
@jeffreysherman82245 жыл бұрын
@@heatherbryant4197 Interesting observation. I believe everyone has the same nervous system response, but the stimuli triggering it is different partly based on which functions are at the top of their stack. For instance, that same "peaceful" scenario made Michelle feel like she was being suffocated. I've also seen Fi users (INFPs/ISFPs) completely freak out at the thought of being controlled or censored in some way. For them freedom = safe = calm. I think for me, maybe the top thing would be community/loving relationships = safety = calmness. I'm an INFJ.

Ok so im ISTJ. Hearing that structure was nice because everything was controlled, but tbh as an Si user becomes more experienced, they tend to separate what is relevant to their goal and what isnt. Their sense of importance to the procedure becomes less attached and their view on the goal itself becomes clearer. Si can adapt, despite what many believe. If it were me in that test room, Id just do the test in the allocated time and enjoy the quiet. If it were me in that college space, Id do the test the same way, but Id emphasise the need for distractionless environment so I can focus on the test. Heck, put me in the middle of the school yard or the roof of the building, Id still do that test regardless, as long as I know how much time is left and there isnt anything distracting me from taking that test.

I myself won't appear organized but I know where everything goes so I hate when people touch my things (that's when I lose them)
@wendyraye5 жыл бұрын
@Joel Nathan Henry so, if you think you know where things are, but they disappear, causing hours of digging through everything (including the trash), and it’s in a drawer it’s never been put in, underneath something else, is the opposite? Mind is thinking about so many things at once - it appears to have gaps of what actually happened....it’s hell.
@pamelam45 жыл бұрын
Basically Si is about routine and being able to predict and know things ahead of time. If an object is moved from its typical location then you don't know where it is and it can throw off your routine and then things are unpredictable and you have to be able to predict and know what's going to happen or else you can't function. @aur.sanne773 жыл бұрын
1:26 I think that her logic is very reasonable. All the things she mentioned aren't things you carry yourself with, are hard to replace, and if you lose them it's pain in the ass. For example, if there's a water coming from your rooftop, first thing you want to do is to prevent water from spreading. You don't look for specific object, but you look for an object of specific size and shape. So let's say a glass, a bowl, a plastic container. And you don't need to have them all stuffed in one place if god forbid they'll get lost. If you need a screwdriver or a rubbonband, then you need them, and it'd be difficult to find something replacable. Screwdriver, cards to museums and tapes are small, easier to lose, important things, and it's better to have all that put together.

But yes, Si connects dots of sensory experiences, this is true. The difference you'll see, let's say between an ESFJ and an ESTJ will be the following : ESFJ : I organize my kitchen a certain way so people will think highly of me. I'm a scumbag if I can't show a neatly organized kitchen to whoever. => You feel better in a nice kitchen. ESTJ : I organize my kitchen because a kitchen it is useful. I'm a scumbag if someone can't use my kitchen because it's a mess. => You're more efficient in a nice kitchen. Somehow my example is not relatable at all, but the idea should be clear enough. What do you mean by Demon function? Are you referring to the 4th/inferior function, or are you referring to the 8th function? I've been confused about this in lot of your other videos.
@KevinPaterson5 жыл бұрын
In OPS, the saviour functions are 1 and 2, and the demon functions are 3 and 4. The 5-8 functions are considered ‘virtual’ in that people don’t have them, but they can imitate it by combining their actual functions.

Then she is probably an Si user so either ISTJ, ENFP OR ESFJ. However I don't see Fe I this video(she talks about her own experience and don't mention the fact of giving a good experience to others). @ayushzaveri81935 жыл бұрын
I don't think I have Si either, but what they're trying to say is that online tests randomly post generic sentences that apply in varying degrees to everyone, who reads them, remembers that one time that they did what's mentioned in the sentence and automatically type themselves as having a function or being a type. It's kind of like having a headache and googling brain tumours, which also involve headaches and diagnosing yourself (generally falsely), as having a brain tumour. At the end, the animated clip of Homer and those retarded animals would've made anyone laugh, not just people with Si. So it's an analogy that sort of describes how people wrongly type themselves

after i thought a lot about Ne and Si, i thought I know everything , but.. The INTP functions keep braking the rules .. INTP Si better than ENTP , yet the chaotic nature in INTP gos on extreme level in general, this make me really wonder that Si alone can organize everything , i remember i discussed with (cliven the longsight) about all functions linked and connected together ,it seems Ti Ne in INTP have high impact on Si performance , making INTP take only half of it ( the power to get things done ) and discard the other half ( organization ) , Ti Ne take all full capacity of INTP mind and some part of Si function .. Yet even this explanation is ok but i don't see it accurate ... Maybe there is something need more research that we don't discover it in theology, or if this explanation was close from true , then maybe all 3rd function work 50% and the other half work very badly , even more than the 4th function , still need more research.

I think you have to take Ne Si, and Se Ni more like an axis, they always go together. My take on it is the following : Ne Si : You live in a "closed/defined" world. Every sensory thing can be measured. The results and interpretation of the measurements become Ne. Finite world, infinite concepts as a results. Se Ni : You live in an infinite Se world, every moment is unique compared to every other one. Yet every one of these unique moments is a manifestation of an Ni eternal, unchanging concept. Finite concepts, infinite possibilities of their manifestations. My problem as an ENTP is I instantly see the concept, but cannot really trace it back to its sensory impulse of origin. I have "hunches" about everything, I tend to say "I feel" a lot. "He seemed dishonnest when talking to me, something wasn't right. - What wasn't right ? - I don't know really, he was ... fidgetting and shit ... lemme try to remember" I'm not an INTP so I can't say how it should work inside an INTP's mind, but you should have less problems saying "what was off". But anyways : try to take MBTI for what it is. You cannot define how your Si works, if you're only thinking about a certain type of situations. For example : I'm bad at Si in my everyday life, but my Si at work is AMAZING. I keep everything where it is supposed to be and everything, as long as I'm at work. Once I'm at home everything's a mess. You can mostly identify your Si Ne relationship in a conversation, try to explain something in real life to someone. How does "the example" complete "the principle" you're trying to talk about ? If you really get stuck with "It feels like X concept" you may have good Ne with a bad Si. If you can only talk about "X happened, then X happened, and now I don't know what to do." => Bad Ne, good Si.
@JoeLaFigue5 жыл бұрын
Then you're talking about how you are "bad" at Si => I'm hearing "I can't get organized, what should I do ?' If you're INTP, it shouldn't be your problem, you're most likely to have an Fe demon, and connecting with others should be your issue. If you have an Ne-Si problem : you literally do not understand what is going on around you. But you obviously have an Fe problem : "I should be organized, because people around me are organized. How can I fit into the organization ?" You were asking the wrong questions. Don't feel bad because you're messy. Improve your communication and you won't have to justify being messy.

@@JoeLaFigue man thanks but this is have nothing with what i talk about , plus i'm ENTP and i know these stuff , my concern was about why INTP are more chaotic than ENTP , when INTP have better Si than ENTP.
@heatherbryant41975 жыл бұрын
I think that because INTPs have Ne/Si in the middle of their stack, they feel much more internal conflict. Ne and Si are engaged in a kind of tug of war, pulling the person towards both routine/familiar/organization and seeking novelty. ENTPs seem to have an easier time going with the flow and embracing the random, so long as they are not being criticized or made to feel insecure about their inferior Si. I've found the way some people describe the 3rd function as a "scorecard" or source of internal validation to be true. While ENTPs feel validated by their ideas being valued by the tribe, INTPs feel validated by their ability to organize the chaos and stay consistent, both logically consistent and consistent with their self-narrative. I think being more aware of the 3rd function makes it more frequently conflict with the other side of its axis (though perhaps less dramatically or noticeably than a 1st & 4th conflict?). Also, I wouldn't say INTPs discard the organization part of Si entirely. The way I see it play out is, when Si is higher than Ne (or "Si savior"): "Every thing has its place." Ne over Si (or "Ne savior"): "There's a method to my madness." There's an organization to the chaos that no one else can see.
@MetalGearIV5 жыл бұрын
@@heatherbryant4197 good explanation, but every time i apply INTP example on other personalities with their 3rd functions, they don't break the rules in general like INTP case , the other personalities they either use 3rd function or they don't, but for INTP it's like : Instead of organize my environment, i can use this time for something more important , or making things done ! ( meaning INTP use Si and not use it at same time ) While ENTP Si sometimes blow up and organize - clean everything even the small details , than they back to laziness again..

I'm an INFP and whenever I see someone with an insufferably rigid system, I just have the urge to mess with it. My FIL was an ISTJ who was particularly rigid about little sensory things, so I would do little things to upset the system. Nothing serious, just for fun. For example, he had a method for storing forks in the cutlery draw - they all had to be stacked together and at the same angle. I dislike that level of order on principle, so sometimes I would turn his forks over and watch him have a little freak out. (This was all in fun. It was like a game. I would never do anything to seriously upset him)
