Oh and hey Shan and Dave! Love your videos. So if I ever visit your house, and I leave a little cutout of a bunny rabbit in your vegetable drawer, or something similar, please understand that it's just my little way of resisting the temptation to rearrange your fridge into a glorious metaphor for emergent chaos and the defeat of order. Not to worry. It'll just be a little cutout bunny rabbit. I can usually stop at that.

Much of it strikes me as "Se humor," which I don't particularly get. But I think sometimes they might be trying to include what they _perceive_ to be Ne style random humor... doesn't quite hit the mark with me. But it makes me wonder if this is how people feel when they don't get my jokes; they probably just think I'm weird.

@@heatherbryant4197 Haha, totally. (Although, tbh, it just makes it even funnier to me when people don't get it...) I get what you're saying about non-Ne trying to portray Ne. It doesn't quite work the way they think it does. And you can clearly see when they feature an Ne user in a video, that they're both like, "Whaaaaat is going on right now..." But I don't hold that against them, I think it's understandable that a non-Ne can't put their finger on Ne humour, because the whole definition of Ne is that you have no idea what's next, so you can't predict what any Ne user will find funny ever.

So the other day I (ENFP) was walking through a field with my friend (ESFP) we were walking in silence and I was thinking about how Jung personality typing was tied to the occult & tarot cards, he then turns around to me to tell me how he noticed that the slope of the tractor tires had caused a puddle in the field. it was just amusing the difference in what we both think about. I was so confused because I was being brought out of this abstract thought tunnel and actually had to pay attention to what’s around me.

Depends on which part of Te you want to work on? I'm still not 100% sure if my Te is savior or demon but I had to do work to get over executive dysfunction so I've got advice linked to that. If it is the "I need to Do The Things" execution part of Te, break down the things you want to do into baby steps and aim to make slow progress on those steps. Surprisingly making the bed every morning really helped me. Best advice I can think of on problem solving part is "you are the only one who can solve this problem. You are responsible for is" which makes you take ownership but be prepared, can also add anxiety.

@Heart of Steel Browsing or surfing the internet is how NE works naturally. Try this: look in the sidebar (upnext) and randomly click on a video and watch it, then jump to another video in the sidebar and keep doing this randomly. That the videos should be random, and not steered, is actually more important for developing it-- because you'll get more out if it if you're watching disparate topics one after another than if you're watching 10 videos all talking about the same thing but in different ways. Eventually as you get better with it, you can steer it to something specific (as a specific, throwaway example - suppose you want to explore the relationship between human movement - music theory - and shoe design). NE is just about finding connections in the enviornment. In order to "activate" it - you have to take in a lot of new concepts. Sometimes the connections between concepts happen unconciously without much prompting, but you can absolutely prompt it out of you by asking how what you just watched/learned/experienced relates with what you're currently watching/learning/experiencing-- or how does what you just explored relate with whatever problem/idea you want to solve. Doing this over time is going to create a web of connected concepts between disparate fields - this is how you get designers who create brand new, innovative products in one field just by observing something mundane/normal in a completely different field and combining ideas together in new ways. If you're reading an article or book and as you are reading it - stop at every outside reference the article mentions and bring up a new tab and read that new subject/wiki entry. If you're watching tv - flip between 3-10 different channels. Or on a Sunday, visit three different houses of worship from different religions. Or throw a dart on a map and go out and explore your city/state WITHOUT anything but essentials (maybe cellphone + wallet + ID that's it) and go about your entire day exploring each nook and cranny and random thing of your fancy and watch as you begin to improvise (it begins raining and you use a bag as an umbrella, you take out your shoelaces and use it to tie up your hair). Or, try hobby-classes-- anything that prompts creativity, or anything such as improv or poetry or survival bunker tours. Something you've never done before, do that. If you think of SI as looking at the minutiae of how one (thing) is made from ground up, in chronological, order fashion in a concrete, sensory way. NE is more - zoom as far out as you can - humanity/universe - and looking at the abstract connections between everything that ties it all together.

I'm an ENTP from a background full of SiTe types. Ended up back there for 6 months thanks to the, er, global epidemiological incident. Really drove home how my Ne coping strategies for Si clash with their Si coping strategies for Ne. For me, if it matters (is interesting) I Ne Engage with it, and if it doesn't but still has to be done (eg breakfast) I automate it. I'll have the same thing every day for breakfast, aaaabsolutely no problem - just let me read about battleship design or something whilst I'm eating it! Life admin is an endless struggle, needs to wait until it accumulates a pile big enough to become an interesting problem to solve, but be solved quickly enough to not become exhaustingly stressful... For them, if it matters it *must be controlled* and if it doesn't then they'll Ne play with it. The shopping list gets frigged around with every single week, just because. Serves no purpose, other than to exercise the brain a little bit on being adaptable on things that won't be a catastrophe if they're adapted a bit wrong... Then the life admin just seems to never stop. Like, are they doing this for fun?? And nobody ever wants to talk to me about battleships... :(

Idk it makes a lot of sense to me. As an INTJ, I like to build systems that work every single time and that I don't have to spend a single energy thinking about it ever again. I like spending more time on creating a system (organizing closet, pantry, shelves, even my schedules) initially that will continue to work in the future. For example, I don't like having to go grocery shopping every day or everytime I'm missing an ingredient or to even look for it in the store, so I'd rather plan my meals by weeks, bulk buy everything I need in one day of the week/month and put them in identical (neat-looking, efficient) containers, categorize them and label them (even arrange their positions to make the most out of my space). Ik some people may find it tedious but it works for me 🤷🏻 Another example, my personal care products are categorized and organized in rows, positioned from tall to short & from least used to frequently used that my vanity never gets cluttered. Another example, my clothes are hanged and placed according to its type & material using different colored hangers, baskets etc it remains exactly the same as it was when I first organized them. It doesn't take much time or energy to organize like this (my brain just does it automatically even if I'm not consciously trying to) and it does save a lot of time. 🤷🏻🤷🏻🤷🏻

@@user-xk9cr3mu3k I'm no psychologist, but as a parent Te user [INTJ], I suspect demon Te is linked to confidence. So for an INFP, the quickest way to get some of that; would be to flip Fi [hero] to Fe. Behave more like ENFP around others. I mean; extravert something you're strong in and feel comfortable with. I have Ti critic, so it's interesting to me, than in private I can be VERY critical. Yet in person, what I say is far less severe; Te. Like Fe, it's conveying to the tribe a more...salable version of your inner thoughts and feelings. Take an editor to Fi and Ti, and you have Fe and Te, respectively. The ENFPs I know, don't lack confidence; yet they have all the same functions-just shifted by one spot, i.e Ne, Fi, Te, Si instead of Fi, Ne, Si, Te. Running with Ne would be another way to do this. I mean, whenever I'm in Ne [the hero function of my ID]; I'm totally not conscious when I do so. I wonder if there's something to that, too. To be SELF-conscious, is also to be conscious. Impossible to be self-conscious, if you're unconsciously doing something [Ne/Ni] or are in the moment [Fe/Te]. I would be very self-conscious if I combined Ni, Ti and Fi i.e doubled up on the introverted functions. Which again, brings me back to confidence. Confidence, is just a trick of the mind-it's not "real". I.e, it's possible to have a eureka moment; and suddenly become a much more confident person at-a-stroke. I've seen it happen. INtuition, is also meant to be the most recently evolved part of the human brain. In other words, I've never met a high N user, who isn't also good at Ti, because both are frontal lobe activities. So it's just a matter of editing, and extraverting that. But like I say, baby steps. I would build quick confidence first by extraverting Fi, then when I realise how successful that is [as it will surely draw people to you, and it will be easy for you to do as well]; then focus on clarifying thoughts [Ti], then finally editing them for an audience [Te].

@@rocketassistedgoat1079 you have a point. Te inferior could be in a way associated with confidence and it is so but it's more external when it comes to achevemen't I'd say. All that Te is about is status and having it inferior that's what infps want to acheve things especially when it comes to academics and studies just to be seen as great when it comes to that. It doesn't matter if they're actually good. The focus is put on developing estj subcontious with Te hero. A lot of Infps surprisingly don't struggle with being social or atleast their type is not by nature detatached from social norms like types with Fe trickster. Fe inferior and demon are also detached but in different ways. All of that is cuz infps are affeliative so they're more in tune with what is wanted and they just want things to be socially accepted by their Fe nemissis I guess. Where as if you are an intj you are tripple pragmatic. Infps and enfps are pretty similar with just few differences tho. I was wondering how to develop Te when it comes to strategising, being direct and objective, learning quick, understanding how systems work, productivity, work and similar. However just a few days ago tho I found out I might not be an infp cuz I'm pragmatic so I could either be one of the XNTX or XSXP types. However I really doubt I have Te as a hero or a parent function, maybe it isn't in my ego at all but it still needs to be developed. I can be wrong ofc. I'm always glad and willing to listen to Te parent, so thank you for your comment. But yeah I still need to find out my actual type cuz I'm probably mistyped. Do you by any chance have a clue about which type I might be or you noticed any kind of trait that could indicate my personality type just based on this?
@rocketassistedgoat1079
@rocketassistedgoat1079 3 жыл бұрын
@@user-xk9cr3mu3k Honestly, it's hard for me to say anything, unless you know your type. It's interesting to me that you say Te is status. I think it's just having confidence in your thoughts, and that they'd be respected by others. I've never been able to suffer fools, to me a fool: is someone who's opinionated about what they know very little about. It's easy to not be one: just talk about what interests you (i.e you will know something about it) to someone you think might be interested. I have Fe trickster, as you say: so anyone with stronger Fe than me (basically anyone), will be more aware/care more about social norms. Maybe that helps me have a "not give a shit" attitude, that contributes to confidence-I don't know. But I know my audience-which is where editing Ti comes in. So Te's not being a fool (easy), conveying information (Ti) to the tribe in a way that's very similar to Fe, but also isn't held back by Fe. Confidence also comes with competence...just know what you're talking about. Soon, you will have a reputation for knowing what you're talking about, and (mostly) not offending anyone-as you know your audience and it's edited: there's that Te status you mentioned. Edit. I think I can narrow your type down to one of five: INFP, ISFP, INTP, ISTP or INFJ. I'm assuming you're an introvert and are strong in N (you should, like all iNtuitives, know that concretely), plus you say Te isn't a demon but is also in the child or aspirational slot. INTP and INFP I find very similar. Confidence, as it's also related to competence also comes with age: as an inexperienced INFP might seem to lack confidence as regards sharing ideas compared to an INTP. Could you be ISFP? Again, people who are high N just KNOW they are, in much the same way that I can tell if someone has N in the inferior spot: because they lack that "quirkiness" factor, which tells me we won't get on. Only thirty percent, are strong N users: so we can always spot others like us.

I'm unsure if I'm lead Si or Ne sometimes, because I've had my love-hate relationships with both of those over time. Si is not fun, it's satisfying to do things that way, but fun? Not really. Imagine colouring within the lines in a drawing book, ensuring all your things are in the right place all the time. It's exhausting, but the end product is much better. You have an organised room and the drawing looks darn good because the colours were filled just right. Si is about enjoying the process because you know the end product will be good, even though the process itself will suck big time.

i’m quite possibly an Fi-Si jumper and i have plenty of systems that work for me but they are very personalised and would probably not be obvious/seem a bit batshit to many. woe betide anyone who manages to mess them up, though, i’d be totally lost in the woods without them - one of the reasons why i prefer to live alone. organised chaos is my thing. when i’m staying at someone else’s place, though, i am totally chill with their chaos - because it’s not mine to own. that said, i usually manage to organise it a bit for them anyhow, it’s in my nature 😆 i also notice that i’m very ”contained” wherever i go because part of my system is to keep all my stuff together so i don’t forget anything/leave it behind. also, i don’t like it when people spread all their stuff out everywhere at my place so i try to respect my host. some people spread their shit literally everywhere, drives me a bit nuts tbh. that said, the organisation in this video is er... next level. i could never be bothered to do all that, way too lazy. but whatever works for you guys 😆

Saviour Sensing or Masculine Sensing? Leaves no gaps, always easy to follow. Double Decider? Movable with self and tribe. F-De Self above Tribe? M-D-Di? M-Di? F-D-Fe? Feminine Sensory or Demon Sensory? No disrespect towards intuition. Good memory, but he's also gone over these details a thousand times. Demon Blast? FF Blast? Blast last perhaps? efs3QRr8LWw?t=4623 Justifies intuition by sensory. Single Observer? M-D-Ne or F-S-Ne? Saviour Consume? Saviour Oe? FF-Sx/Ti? MF-Ne/Ti? If you think of SI as looking at the minutiae of how one (thing) is made from the ground up, in chronological order in a concrete, sensory way. NE is more - zoom as far out as you can - humanity/universe - and looking at the abstract connections between everything that ties it all together (timeless). The reason "chaos" is not a problem to NPs is because to them, it *is* ordered in the same way a spiderweb is a kind of order, just not sequentially. It depends on how you look at it. An NP can look into that chaos and find an order there, adjust it, manipulate it. It's just about perceiving it and finding the connections in the enviornment. For an SI to develop NE, If you're reading an article or book and as you are reading it - stop at every outside reference the article mentions and bring up a new tab and read that new subject/wiki entry. if you're browsing/surfing the internet, the videos/topics you look at should be random and from disparate places with seemingly nothing to do with one another. YOU have to be the one to create that connection. An MBTI video + kittens and raccoons = Do animals have cognitive functions? (Just an example of how you can connect things with NE - find two things - assume they're related, then start asking WHAT IFS, then explore that avenue further and see what happens) . The SI should just do something completely out of their wheelhouse they've never done before, do that, and see how that thing relates to cooking or knitting or whatever it is they're familiar with.

When there, i section the groceries that are for us vs the roomies while shopping and then bag them and store them in the car separately too. I bring my groceries in and have the roomies kids get the rest and put those away in a similar fashion to what you have in your closet except without the boxes lol - mines sorted Pastas or boxed foods- in their respective sides on the shelf. Fruit, Vegas, beans/chilies, soups, spaghetti sauces etc among other sorted sections of food ie cheese, bread, meats, yogurts, condiments w.e Pretty much exact system to yours except we don’t have order online and pick up available since we’re in a smaller town. 😂

Aha moment Im probably going to hell for Te thinking I need to get married again so my husband can be responsible for this kind of stuff. my hero “Te’s” strategic planning in progress. I’m also aware that my Te thinking probably has Fi feeling bound and gagged in my occipital region because the idea of falling in love with said husband is missing from the plan.

I use alexa voice commands and I tell her "add eggs to groceries"...and she maintains my lists which I can access from my phone to order from Walmart or Aldi or If I walk into the store.... it saves me logging in and typing time!!!! Or worse, Losing paper lists ...

You could save a lot of scissors frustration if you just bought and used a shredder.

Me (ENTP) never in my life spent any time to think about groceries or scissors.... let alone to make a system for it. Somehow I'm still alive...
