FYI the app is a home security nightmare. The app has Ads. Requires geolocation for setup. Requires notifications for setup. Requires constant Internet access, yet the device no Ethernet. The ToS that almost undoubtedly permits them unconditional to access you LAN as well.

Do you have any recommendations to counter this issue? Should I connect this device to an IoT network and download the app in a VM and place firewall rules so it doesn’t get in my network ever? What was your workaround?

@@LorenzEstrera Luckily I have found it to still operate any saved changes when you cut Internet access (but is required for any changes to configuration) For most I would say the lowest hanging fruit would be to use a local hotspot for the setup from your phone, then set a 1-3 hour static clean interval and then removing the app. For myself I don't even run Android or IOS so I just own a throw-away Android device for these silly things.

@@LorenzEstrera thats what I do at home for any device that needs to reach the outside world. Separate IoT dedicated network with its own VLAN, DNS and firewall rules. Works like a charm for any IoT device.

I just bought this after recommended by the seller. I was thinking about Pura Max but the seller not recommended it because the manufacturer stops selling it because of the leaking issue and they're planning to release an improved version next year.

Mine just arrived yesterday and im loving it so far! I have two young male cats. After researching boxes i bought this one because it was 1) open top (heard cats prefer it), 2) holds the most litter or has wide area (heard it is easier for male cats), and 3) had the largest emptying bag (could go longer before change outs making it a better choice for multiple cats). Well so far at least 1 of my cats has been using it and im able to press the self clean button when they arent around so they dont get scared of it 😂. I suspect in a couple days i can have the automatic clean setting om and no more manual scooping or smelly litterboxes!!

Where to buy a replacement base? Thinking of switching to this one. I have the Pawbby Automatic Litterbox. Now needing a base replacement - going thru the Pawbby Warranty is a hassle - I've been communicating since Oct 2024, just getting the run around with them. So of this brand has hassle free customer service to get assistance then I'll consider getting this brand.

So.. my cat pees while standing (just because he can, he’s healthy). Is it going to be a problem? Normally I need a waterproof side and it looks like there is a structure in the back?

Would you say this box is better than the whisker litter robot? I’m running into issues with my litter robot 3 connect. And supports suggestion was to replace the base. ($400 replacement).

Tell me more, I have 6 and a LR3 but a couple are bigger than the globe almost and was debating on a LR4. I hear this has a pee issue if they pee down the side that they "solved" with some stickers I guess, notice this at all?

I’m also interested in hearing more! I have 9-and I (and they) loved the original robo. I never was happy with the second edition-I ended up using it as a very expensive litter pan.

@@morrows10get it it's 100% worth it. I have seen a slight issue with the pee running down the back but can count the number on one hand. My cats took to it with zero issues, and it's bigger for my chonks without their back touching the globe. My only complaint is the smell, it comes out a bit but is easily managed.

Price is steep no doubt. But worth it never have to worry about cleaning litter or smelling the litter. Just buy it 🤙🏽

I am concerned about the side leaking issue . Any subscription fee? Do I need to order special trash bag ? Those factors adding up the cost.

They provide free leak-proof stickers for the edges, there's no subscription fee and you can use any plastic bag.

This product having too much issues,after few months using,i getting sensor faulty,the issue is the error with the waste bin full,but there nothing inside the waste bin, already did wipes the sensor as the user manual said,after send to repairs the change the upgrade version sensor,only last less than a months and its happen again,this litter box will not last,too many sensor and will get so many problem in future,dont waste your money
