Like Twain said: "Quitting smoking is easy. I've done it a thousand times." But I'm happy to say that after smoking 2 packs a day for 50 years, I finally DID quit! So it is possible. ❤

The mere *half-life* of the radioactive heavy metals (Lead-210 particularly, which, IIRC, sometime after ingestion converts to Polonium in the body ) that attach and enmesh themselves into the trichromes of the tobacco leaves (thus are not washed off by rains or water), accumulating as a consequence of mass industrial tobacco farming practices like the wide use of specific pesticides and fertilizers is ironically (literally, I shit you not) somewhere around ~50 years as well. This is why one may have heard of another who quit ingesting tobacco after using it for some time, yet still end up with cancers years after cessation of use. Why?? Because every time human animals ingest leaves that are tainted with radioactive lead and related metals, we are constantly accumulating and adding to and building up the amount of metal in our bodies, and the half-life, or the time it takes (for the average person) to naturally expel or eliminate just half- Just HALF! -- of said metal is estimated to be about 50 (fifty) years. … meaning all of the accumulated radioactive material stored in the body over 50 years of use, even upon permanent cessation of such poisonous matter, it will take another 50 years for just 50% of those cancer causing, “heavy” metals to leave your body. It’s such a tragedy (comedy) that you mentioned you stopped after 50 years… that’s literally what we have estimated the half life of the ingested lead to polonium to be. This is not a very well-known fact, but it’s matter-of-factly, freely admitted and it’s been observed and measured, search for .gov sites with this information, as I am just going from memory, but it’s such a fucked up coincidence that the original poster mentioned they finally quit after 50 years, because again, that’s how many MORE years, even if they never ingest it again, it will take for even a mere half of allll that accumulation of metal to leave their system. The More You 🫣Know 🫡 🤫🫠🤑☠️

Elmira College, Elmira,NY is where Twain's study resides. His sister in law built it as he smoked 40 cigars a day and this got him out of her house. He summered there many years, lived in Hartford, Ct about 17 years. Beautiful home in Hartford. The study is a gun visit too!

Louis asked Rumsfeld like 4 times in that episode and Rumsfeld evaded giving an answer all 4 times. Just say, "NO. Of course not." and it's done. He didn't do that.
